New HIV injection aims to fit into people's lives - Rossouw

A new HIV prevention injection, which offers protection for two months, is now available to some South Africans as part of a pilot project. Desmond Tutu Health Foundation Implementation Science Researcher Elzette Rousseau says the long-term strategy is to make HIV prevention fit into young people's lives.

I wonder if they’ve done a study on interactions with family planning pills or injectables? I mean, concurrent use of HIV Prep injection and Family planing injectables /oral tabs?🤔
I don’t like how she answered on Adverse effect/side effect, she didn’t mention any? 🤔 disappointing.

She said one of the side effects is the pain you feel when you're being injected. But she says that goes away as you get used to it. 🤣
