I was on the vessel. The Captain took a decision to overnight in Coruna, rather than leaving the previous evening and heading into a weather front.
Great decision by Captain Tanner, always putting the safety of his passengers first
Yes. It was the right decision.👍
Tremenda salida! Me sorprende ver como el agua golpea la popa del barco, es raro de ver.
Great video from the SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE departure. Thumbs up.👍 Greetings by Unimedien.
Thank you!. Greeting by jorodmon🤗
Love this video. Shipping and videographers battle against nature, at its finest. Cheers from Australia
Thank you John. Cheers from A Coruna, Spain.
I don't think that ship was built to handle any sort of weather- looks very unstable to me.
Why do you say that ? Are you a ship designer ?
Ese magnífico zoom manejado con maestría.
Wonderful waves!!!! Take care!
very beautiful video my brother
Tus videos de cruceros son los mejores 🤩 saludos desde Chile
Muchas gracias!. Saludos cordiales desde A Coruña🙋♂️
We have been through the Bay of Biscay on many different cruise ships from 30,000 to 160,000 Tonnes and in all weathers, but our roughest ride was on the Spirit of Discovery in 2020, even though we'd been through in much worse weather. I am NOT saying it is unsafe, but I do wonder about the hull design of that ship and its sister Spirit of Discovery comfort wise in rougher seas.
Brilliant 😊
Hope they had all the sea sick bags out on this one! It does really look like fun though.
Yikes! That's a rough begining.
Impressive! 🙂
Bumpy ride
The tidal swells can be lively in A Coruña
So if this is they day the weather improved I can't imagine what the previous day was like.

SE TORNA PEQUENO DEMAIS ❤
Did you make videos of P&O venture leaving or Arriving or the ADIAdiva?
Yes. Ventura arriving and short clips filmes handheld due wind and rain of Ventura and AIDAdiva leaving A Coruña. I'll upload all videos tonight. Greetings by Jorodmon
@@jorodmon ok cant wait to see them thanks for the amazing videos keep up the good work!
Preciosa toma
Muchas gracias, Victor. Mal tiempo para grabar vídeo, demasiado viento. Saludos
Pocos Botes salvavidas tiene este crucero
Me Parece muy mal
@@jorodmon
Deberían haberle puesto
Más botes salvavidas
@@pedrorodriguezmartin Lleva los suficientes. Qué capacidad crees que tienen? En uno de los grandes que ves ahí podrían llegar a entrar más de 200 personas. 😅😅
You are looking at an floating Petri dish.....
Should have paid for overnight in port. Safer is always better, that was major loss waiting to happen
Fact check. We did stay in port overnight to miss the worst of a storm. Hmm, stormy seas in the North Atlantic in winter, who knew?
Needs double the power.
Looks quite normal. Nothing special.. No lateral movements.
I'd be MISERABLE on that thing on those conditions.
I wonder if the ship had stabilizers. If it did, they certainly were not very effective in this type of heavy weather.
Stabilisers control heel.
@@philipwright7186and roll. Motorolafish, that ship mostly was experiencing pitch motion once it was headed straight out to sea. Pitch is a motion over which stabilisers have no effect. However, while the ship was leaving the harbour (during the turn), there was a bit of turn-induced heel but no real roll (alternating heel back and forth to port and to starboard) occuring as the stabilisers were doing their job, as designed.
@@DeepThought9999
Thank you for correcting me, of course it's roll not heel.
Bis etwas passiert. Dann ist das Geschrei groß.
Puke in isle 3, Puke in stairway 7, .......
Code Yellow !! Code Yellow !!
that is ship building for , to face extreme wheather
Yes, right!😅
Everybody holding for dear life on that boat 😂
😅
accidenti che mare lungo
I prefer the itinerary of the smaller more luxury cruise ship, however when it's rocking like this it's annoying to walk around, move etc. etc. Something we have found is the newer concepts on the mega liners where they have a suite section. You get a quiet area, luxury amenities but the smoothness of a larger cruise ship.
Do you what you are talking about? If you don’t like something leave it alone.
That is one of the dumbest replies I have ever read on here. You're an angry petulant keyboard warrior taking to someone who have been on over 20 cruises. You can take your childish comment place it precisely where the sun doesn't shine. @@markwhitbread7383
Could you produce a less intelligent response? @@markwhitbread7383
@@markwhitbread7383 You can't even type your angry response correctly. I don't think you know what you are angry about. My comment speaks loud and clear of my experience with cruising. I suggest you articulate your angry responses more clearly next time....or don't bother responding unless you're are allergic to educated opinions.
Good grief , the Captain decided to leave in that swell !
Yep, snowflakes should not cruise. Especially in winter on the North Atlantic
@@markwhitbread7383 . That was extreme
You kidding me right? That was not bad at all
“Hey, it looks cool!”
Especialidad gallega = turismo de naufragios. Pero hay que abonar pasaje; especial para masoquistas. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Seguramente hay un extra🤣😅🤣
And all passengers are vomiting across the ship. Wear rubber boots and have fun.
That vessel should not have departed that day foolish
