@@nikunikuma I have been there, and the only thing i can say is that it gets better with time. Fill your life with things that make you smile and with the time that pain will slowly go away. It is hard, i know, there are many days that you will fell lonely and there will be only sadness and pain, but that suffering is inevitable. Smile, try to be selfish a little bit and work with your own mental health, you don't need other people for that.
And yeah, the memories always stays, and they hurt for a while and slowly the pain in those memories goes away.
After a year im still single and with Covid-19 im more lonely than ever i think, there are days that are pretty difficult for me, but life continues and that is a good thing!

@FLS306 yep, i just wish that because this was made in april that it was just some harsh april fools joke but it isnt and i dont think ill ever be able to fill that void in my/our hearts that kaori left. But alas shes bot coming back and thats the reality of life, if there is nothing that pains you in this world then you wouldnt learn to love and cherish what you have before its gone...
Im never forgetring this anime because it connects to me in a lot of angles, and thats kinda scary, as if this anime was made just for me (i know its not) i play the piano and i had a falling out with it and started playing it again mud way through the show, there is a person in my life that i didnt realize id loved for 2 years now, but the part where this show and my life disconnect is that that girl likes my friend and shes pretty much leagues away from me. And i dont think i can change that and even if i could it doesnt matter cause this is my last year with her, im moving away soon and it pains me man, but you just gotta keep pushing through.

I’ve never cried to a single show,movie, anime, play, etc... in my entire 19 years of living but when I saw this it made me tear up so much at the end. Nishimiya Shouko this is so true that I want to deny it😂. It’s like a love hate thing with that emotion. I hate the feeling so much but at the same time it makes me motivated to go out and do something. I gotta be careful though because that kind of heart ache really messes with my head. Makes me feel lost and I really don’t like that. It makes me wish I had what these characters had before everything went all horrible for them. That’s why I limit myself before I start longing for the impossible. Anyways, you are right I have shaken the depression but the music still gets me into my feels lol but not nearly as bad as it used to.

@@pinheadlarry2506 Yeah, I Also recommend "Rascal Does not dream of bunny girl senpai" the anime itself is pretty shit except the beginning but then watch "Rascal does not dream of a dreaming girl" now this movie is a sequel to the anime but I don't even know why it made me cry almost as much as watching "Your Lie in April". This show is so so so underrated and people who hear the title are just like "Ah, thats another shitty harem anime" but the anime and movie itself were one of the better written drama's i have recently watched. I don't even know why I had the urge to write this to a completely different topic, probably because I got back my Post Anime Depression from this anime...

Everyone has their opinion. I kept hearing that this anime was one of the saddest animes ever and it ranked in a top ten list on some site. It was sad but to be honest was definitely not the saddest anime
watch to your eternity i love your lie in april but it only crushed me to your eternity destroyed me.
Its incredible how many feelings an anime can transmit you. The joy, the sadness, the hope and even the pasion of music. That feeling that we cant even explain when we hear the soundtrack or we watch the show. This show help me a lot and I bet it did to many other people and I feel grateful but I cant do anything about it, except living, I think thats one of the messages that Kaori give us, we must live, at least for her.

It's been 2 1/2 years since I saw Your Lie In April...but the emotions, the music, the dialogue. I still remember them like it was yesterday. A show that can even make the strongest man cry, Your Lie in April is sheer brilliance

Kaori's wish was to reach as many people as she could. As a fictional character, she reached out in her world and touched as many of as she could. To those of us who remember her, who know her, who has experienced her story, did she reach you? I think she did. 1.4m people in this video alone. She definitely reached us. She definitely touched us. She impacted us as individuals. She changed us as human beings. A fictional character reached beyond the realms of 2d space and touched our souls. I don't think anyone who is here reading this today will ever forget her.

You see, it’s not the music itself that makes me cry. When I first listened to this, while doing homework, I was actually pretty happy and calm, but after I got a chance to read some comments I got to see others’ memories of this. That’s what makes me cry, remembering other people, just like me, and their memories that are tied to this music. We are all human, but different chords and melodies hold different memories for each of us.

You know, there's something I've realized.
The more effort you put in, the more you are living your life to the fullest.
Obviously, I don't know the exact ratio, I definitely don't think it's 1:1.
You don't live 50% to the fullest by putting in 50% of your best effort.
By putting in even a little bit of effort, your life seems to get better by a decent margin. So if you're putting in at least 50% of your best effort, you are probably living ~75% to the fullest of your life.
In a way, it gives diminishing returns. But at the same time, the closer you get to living 100% to the fullest of your life, the more impactful and happier each percent is.
Basically the closer to 100% you get with the effort you put in the closer you get to living your life 100% to the fullest, and the closer you get to 100% the better and better each percent will feel.
The better your satisfaction will be, the better your happiness will be... no matter the situation you may currently find yourselves in.
So let me ask you a question.
Have you been putting in your best effort?
Have you been at least going the extra mile to do that one menial task you thought of doing but felt too lazy to do?
Have you done a chore, or followed a schedule you made to get back on track and take hold of your life?
Are you trying?

im glad that im able to watch Your Lie In April for the first time and realize that its april when i start watching it this year,the story is amazing and it really catch my feeling,the music itself its great i fell in love with it,i actually upset with the ending of the anime,about Kaori's lies saying her illness is nothing and how she lied about her feeling for Watari but she actually love Kousei,as soon as the scene where Kousei read Kaori's letter to him,my tears start flowing down my cheek, im guessing other people here has the same feeling as me rn :(

I read a visual novel in 2006 which left the same impact. Kana imouto. Now rereleased as a G rated visual novel called Kana Okaeri.

I listened to this almost everyday back in 2019 when I was still in high school, preparing for the university entrance exam.
Little did I know, 2019 would become one of the best years of my life.
I miss those days. When Covid wasn't a thing.
Sao and your lie in april are my two fav shows because they both impacted my life so much. Sao taught me to find the people you love the most and spend time with them, whereas your lie in april taught me to live life to the fullest and not take anything for granted because it could be taken away from you at any moment. From a young age I forced myself to train and workout until I coughed up blood and I had to go to the doctor a lot bu that didn't stop me because I thought the only way to make friends would be if I was very strong and athletic. But, ever since I watched these two shows I have stopped and noticed the deeper meaning of life and as you could say I saw color for the first time, so please know that even if you feel no one loves you, remember I love you even if we have met yet I know we could be friends.
Your Lie in April might have been a little cliché. But hell, it made cliché look GOOD.
The death part is cliche but the whole story is certainly not especially the plot twist in her letter. It really caught me off guard even tho i knew she like him from the start but not at that level of admiration. That is why YLIA stands out when it comes to drama and stayed at the heart of viewers.
there is nothing wrong with cliche. I am someone who believes that fact something is cliche because it has stood the test of time. People today always want to see something unique, and while that has pushed for some amazing new inventions, that doesn't mean the ideas that were good for ages and still are should be left out. Everything is about execution and as long as it's done well, anything can be amazing, let alone ideas abt love, redemption, scrafice that should strike home with most people.

A friend of mine, or used to be a friend of mine told me to watch this anime (Your Lie in April). On the first 2 episodes I didn’t really enjoy it and quit but about one week later I decided to finish the anime and I did. I got addicted to this anime because it was just relaxing and sad at the same time. The ending had me tear up a lot and I will never forget that moment and my moment as an anime fan/watcher. Unfortunately I quit watching anime but those memories will always stay in my heart until I die ❤️

Im kinda both happy and sad about it. Im happy that i got to see the ending of the anime im supporting but im also sad that im not going to see it anymore, new stuff i mean. Im a really weak person when it comes to anime and movies because i get attached easily with the characters and stuff.

The first time I ever saw you perform, I was 5 years old. It was at a recital for the piano school I was going to. This awkward, clumsy kid came onto the stage and accidentally hit the piano stool with his butt. It was too funny. He turned to the piano that was way too big for him and the moment he played that first note, I was drawn in.
The sound was beautiful, like a 24-colour palette. The melodies danced.
The girl next to me started crying. I wasn’t expecting that at all.
And even so, you gave up the piano. Even though it totally changed other people’s lives. You’re the worst. Indecisive. Gullible. Twit.
(Cut to Kaori as a kid, telling her parents she’s giving up piano for violin because she wants Kousei to play again.)
When I found out we were in the same middle school, I was ecstatic. But how would I ever come to talk to you? Maybe I’d hang out at the lunch concession.
Instead, I just watched you from afar.
I mean. After all. You all seemed to get along so well. There wasn’t really any space in there for someone like me.
When I was a kid, I had to have an operation and I started having to be at the hospital for regular check-ups. In the first year of middle school,
I collapsed and I was admitted over and over. With every visit, I was there for longer and longer.
Really, I didn’t get to class much in middle school, I spent more time at the hospital. And I knew something was wrong with my body.
One night, I saw my parents crying in the waiting room and I knew that my time was running out.
That’s when I ran away.
I didn’t want to bring my regrets with me to heaven, so I stopped holding back from what the things I always wanted to do.
I wasn’t scared anymore to get contact lenses.
I ate what I wanted instead of always worrying about my weight.
And I took the music with all its high and mighty directives and played it the way I wanted.
And then I told a lie. Just one.
I lied and said that I, Miyazono Kaori, liked Watari Ryouta.
And that lie brought you to me.
Please apologize to Watari for me… though I’m sure he’s forgotten me by now
I think I need someone more wholehearted and earnest than him.
I think we’d be fine as friends though.
And please apologize to Tsubaki for me too.
I want for there to be no hard feelings. And there was one thing I could never ask of her, to ask her directly to introduce the two of us.

They’re unforgettable scenes to me. But they’re such little things. It’s weird, isn’t it?

I got into anime during the quarantine. Your Lie in April and SAO were the first two I watched. So glad I did.
I read the plot and her death has me sunken down. I won’t cry but I feel slower and tightness within my body. It continues to stab my soul out of me and continues its pain. Tightens up the throat preventing it to talk making you remind all the sad anime back in the past you watched.
