It’s probably because the setting only covers the paramount war arc and not the full story(at the time) like any other One Piece game. This game should definitely get a Part 2 sometime in the future with all the new things the manga has covered
It’s the gameplay. That shit is so ass and the combos feel nonexistent

Also the fact that the game only covers 80% of the arc and ends before the climax of the arc. So not only was gameplay unpopular, but it left people feeling like it was incomplete as well.

TBH if you take into account how much they do to present lore accuracy and character individuality this easily outshines many fighters just for the character put behind the game.

This game is awesome,the history is Just too short but every character is very unique and follows alot of rules from the anime like how luffy with the buff (R1/RB) cant be damage by enel or mihawk attack broke even the perfect defense from jozu,marco recover health,buggy cant be damage by swords with the buff one,akainu can take 2 hits ,instead of 1 like the rest of the characters,before get his logia broken and a bunch of other details

I like that this game is perfect for you as you are a fan of Akainu, meanwhile I was PISSED as HELL that this game practically forced me to play as him in order for me to progress, as I wanted nothing to do with him. 😆

I hope they make a sequel to Burning Blood at some point because I enjoyed playing it. Me and my friend played this game alot and we ended up just playing as Ussop and spamming projectiles at each other.

imo it was semi advertised as a game with more than just marineforde in it and it didnt deliver, plus what we got for a story mode was just a glorifed tutorial that ends right as the marineford arc ends and credits roll, maybe if the game was longer and they kept the fight mechanics the same it wouldnt be as hated as it is

While I think Trash Seeker was the absolute worst game in the last decade I will say this one only did badly because it's a fighting game. Fighting games are notorious for players not getting much out of buying them unless they really really enjoy the genre. Still think fighting games should be some sort of free to play. Maybe a free trial for a month so people can at least try it without refunds if it's even allowed. Not saying straight up f2p anymore because of how bad it can be like overwatch 2 recently.

for amount of content it was a bad game but its one of the best arena fighters with some of the best netcode for the time it came out its 100% one of the better one piece games
I remember getting a free trial for this game, before I even watched one piece, and I was a stupid kid and dropped it within 2 days lol but I did think it was fire I just didn't understand the show or the game.

Curlynaps I think if your looking for an interesting game, I advise you to play One piece Bounty Rush a very good mobile game, its basically a gacha game, where you summon for one piece characters

I bought this game because me and my brother love One Piece. It's fun but the characters are unbalanced and the dodge mechanics are wonky at best. Still one of the best One Piece games I've played.
