I mean, I don't think this particular topic is anyone's business. I get that he's older and it looks bad, but a few years ago when I was eighteen I was dating a woman who told me she was 38, a few months into our relationship I found out she was actually 48. It didn't bother me none, because I've never really had any interest in girls my age. Even at sixteen I lost my virginity to a 40 year old woman. Sometimes ppl just like what they like, and although people may find it hard to believe, but these younger girls could strictly only be interested in older guys.
There is no reason for a 16 year old to be involved with a 40 year old. She knew what she was doing a 40 year old can tell when someone is under age by their behavior and mannerisms it's not that hard to figure out. Also why would the woman lie to you about her age in the first place she was old enough to be your mom. I'm not blaming you. I dated the 48yo for two years, and even now my wife is 21 years older than me. I mean, I'm not advising teens around the world to hookup with 50 year olds, but different strokes for different folks. I felt like an adult at a very early age, and at 19 I was making more than my parents. So, while I respected their opinion, I definitely was my own man and did what I wanted to do. This girl could have a similar situation, but yes, I do understand the strange looks.
