    I would believe, that there is a connection between Ragnaros and Thrall in Cataclysm. Where Thrall accidantlly summoned Ragnaros. Which triggered the whole stuff with the Firelands.

      In the most recent cinematic, the Princess Killed the Queen, nearly identically as Arthus killed his father.

    The old gods always had an uncanny ability to exist even after death and even exist and or even manifest in smaller pieces. Y'Shaarj was able to still exist through the very lands of Pandaria through not only his own heart and blood but also the very emotions made manifest by its people and with the experiments from the titans, this same matter can even come together to form an entirely different old god. The same could very well be said for Yog'Sarron, considering his very blood was used to build the Icecrown Citadel. It is likely that the citadel is as much a part of Yog'Sarron due to that very powerful yet equally mysterious Old God Blood.
    Taking all of this into account, there is a chance that Yog wasn't kidding when he said he was the God of Death. See, what if due to having a high concentration of death magic in him, Yog was able to manifest a different part of himself in the Shadowlands in order for the void to infiltrate the realms of death, like the strange entity we know as the Maw. What if the Primus was able to imprison the Maw (yog) using its blood of sorts to create Torghast, an infinite prison to trap an infinite being among other horrors. Considering that Maldraxxians have been known to make use of their fleshy, whatever the heck it is land they live on, land to create all sorts of vessels structures and even weapons it doesn't seem to be too far fetch that they would try to make use of Old God remnants. Not only that, what if the Primus experimenting on the Maw is what lead him to inventing domination magic and all the terrible domination gear the Lich King would come to wear.

  • @UncrownedKingDante
    @UncrownedKingDante Před měsícem +2

    I'll get thrashed for this but I mean, Lich king was created way after Zovaal saw this "threat" on the way, ( most likely voidlords and cosmological war), so lich king wouldnt exist in the first place if Zovaal didn't go mad and was imprisoned within maw, he captured master of domination magic and created the mourneblades. So Lich king is still somehow connected to the void because those events happened way earlier before even Ner'zhul was in plan apparently.
    P.s: I still ride Primus being the mastermind behind Jailer theory, it all fits so well perfectly as it was Blizzard's original plan for the Shadowlands expansion. Even before expac reveal the concept art of Jailer indicates more Primus relevancy then Zovaal.
    Other then that everything Zovaal did from being the Arbiter to being imprisoned in the maw and capturing "runecarver" doesnt make 1 bit sense.
    Guy has no domination magic whatsoever, only confirmed figure in Warcraft universe that has created domination magic and can use it is Primus, the master tactician of Shadowlands... and he lost to bald arbiter in the place he imprisoned him within and already carved domination runes onto his body? gtf o man, it was always weird, even when shadowlands was live back then during 9.1.
    Just remember....
    "Vassal of life disguises treachery, beware the eyes of green" - LL'GYNOTH 8.3 , PATCH RIGHT BEFORE SHADOWLANDS RELEASE (Ofc zovaal was "treacherous" one in SL since he "betrayed" his brothers and sisters)... just let that sink in

    • @UncrownedKingDante
      @UncrownedKingDante Před měsícem

      Also for those that think why would Primus even want that, just remember Titan Pantheon and Death Pantheon (eternal ones) were no mystery to one another, Primus was also told to have distant ALLY through the timeways that taught him alot of things, this ALLY is assumed to be Aman'thul 99%, knowing everything that we know now going into worldsoul saga makes even more sense.
      Definetly Primus played the mind game there, through someone else he tried to harness the power of Azeroth through sepulchure of the first ones to "Remake reality" is what we were told. We played all into his hand, Zovaal was just dominated through whole expansion (his runes and eyes glowing just like anduin when he was dominated) till very last few seconds when he was deteriorating when we defeated him at Sepulchure. Only then he was reseeing his memories all before the point he was carved with domination runes onto his body.
      Also Chronicles Vol. 4 mentiones someone in Shadowlands (DEATH) made a bargain with LIGHT.... Hmmm who that may be.... (Primus... Who crafted Crown of wills, Who literally made a light entity the new arbiter.) Light is also connected to Order anb Titans.
      Like so many proof i didnt even mention here supports it way overboard.

    The pre-event has changed since you made this (I'm assuming you made it on day 2 or 3?). There's no wait times for the bosses - the event starts over as soon as it dies, and you stay in that zone for one hour and all the 'quests' restart, then the boss comes back. At the top of the hour a new zone starts up, same deal. Very farmable. It's been great for levelling alts - all mine are 70 now and it didn't take ages at all. But they've built her up and teased her for a while. There is precedent for her. Metzen inserted this bullet in chzekov's gun back in legion and they're just now pulling the trigger. Legion was 8 years ago irl. In that time, Xalatath has appeared in various ways in the game, more notably in BFA. The jailer was an as$-pull to begin with and then they also didn't develop him at all as a character or show his motivations whatsoever. Xalatath has none of the issues that the jailer had. Also, she's part of an established force associated with old gods, which their whole gimmick is they are incredibly patient and play chess while everybody else is playing checkers. It kinda just works on so many levels that relate to OG lore, whereas the jailer didn't work on any level.

    NGL, given all the non-related things like Hoggers, the Stranglethorn stuff, etc, I don't think it's worth reading too much into.
    IMO it's just another serving of nostalgia bait like Blizz has made a habit of in recent years. If you tried making a list of what iconic memorable things come to mind when you ask a veteran WoW player, these are pretty much a full bingo.
    Trying to attach it to current events is stretching it a bit, in my humble opinion.
    EDIT: Also, if it truly was related to the Old Gods, or even Azeroth herself, I don't think they'd limit it to the events of Vanilla-to-now. Because it's such a tiny stretch of history that completely ignores the truly memorable and important things that took place in the world. The Sundering, the Black Empire, the war between Old Gods and Titans, etc. Heck, even Sargeras' stab of Azeroth should be there.

    I have a theory that K'aresh wasn't just devoured by Dimensius. I think Dimensius was the world soul inside of K'aresh.
    I think Xal'atath, or some other harbinger, successfully turned him over to the void and the devouring was basically just an automatic process as the world soul woke up and the void energies consumed and destroyed everything in its path.

But I thought the Jailer was supposed to be the one pulling the strings with Arthas, and that the Jailer is supposed to be a bigger deal than the Old Gods, but now apparently Yogg could’ve been influencing the Jailer’s “plan” the whole time? and that he build ICC, which was made out of Pure saronite, just to spit Yogg in the face because, and that was the EXACT explanation as to why, due to the undead's fractured connection of body and mind, the old gods and void magics were unable to mind control the Undead.

    Weirdly, Xal is not evil to my way of thinking. She's a Void creature (maybe). That is what they do. And the Titans screwed up by ordering some of the Void. This is Titan chickens coming home to roost.
    And the stuff she instigated...all of those shown were overly ambitious people who wanted more and more power with no responsibility to balance it out. It's why we give leaders power but insist they be ethical, and keep order and good at the forefront of their decisions. Otherwise, you vote them out or overthrow them. To the real-life counterparts, money, drugs, sex and power are all Xal'atath.
    She gave them the means, perhaps, but it was all of their actions after, and their innermost desires. She just helped them be made manifest. To me, being angry at Xal is like being angry with fire. It must be controlled, used to our benefit and studied, but it just "is".

One can only dream, but what a twist that would have been, rather than them retconning the story to make the least likable and most uninteresting character in modern Warcraft history the most pivotal and important one. But nah, no one liked the OG Old Gods anyway; let's retcon them and do this bizarre fanfic instead.
