- During the filming of a scene in The Two Towers, tensions arose among the actors. Andy Serkis, playing Gollum, accidentally yanked Sean Astin's wig off during a take, causing discomfort. Sean stormed off visibly upset, leading to temporary tension among the cast. Andy apologized, but misunderstandings persisted briefly!

He wasn't injured. Also, Sean wasn't upset at Andy for ripping the wig off, it was something that made him feel frustrated and the wig was the cherry on top. He stormed off because he wanted to get to the make up room quickly as the light was too dim to reapply the wig properly.

0:33 Oh, poor Elijah! From what I've read in different places Sean Astin was not particulary easy to work with. This was obviously an accident, no point in storming out from set like a diva and still be mad about it later on.

Andy Serkis performance as an actor always professional. Sean Astin needs to grow the hell up! It was an accident, the man apologised, for God sake move on.Sean had to be a major prat!
