Nate wouldn’t run it back if the call was the other way around. Should have taken the split and not been a smart ass before the race.
Fucked up thing is, the man only asked for a 80/20 split too! I was routing for him, but the 2nd flash of the light, Nate left, so I saw that as reasoning to rerun, but it's obviously not my call! Awesome race though!

The right call was made. He should have never brought up a rerace. I know he wanted to side with Nate because he’s a big time racer and didn’t want to mess up his credibility being that it was his first big race to flag and he wanted more big time racers to show up in the future. But the fact is that the light did come on.

The headlamp is a newer thing for limpy. It's not like limpy has been using a headlamp for the last 10 years of the 20+ he's been putting on races.
When it's the middle of the night it's not like anyone can say they couldn't see the light as that is only possible if they close their eyes.
It definitely had nothing to do with nate sleeping on the light twice. He's just a whiner any time he loses in the finals. If you ask him he's never lost a fair finals race, only time he did win is when he was cheated out of winning or his car was broke or the other driver burned him down. The list goes on and on but the flagger using a flash light for this race wasn't an issue for anyone including nate until he lost in the finals. Had he drove around the other driver and won he wouldn't of said a word.

Nate crying again for sleeping. He wasn’t crying when out run the first guy 😅. Flaggers need to get some better lights. Streamlight makes a good flash light. Flagger should’ve talked to you and limpy before making any call, then changing it. That would be my recommendation. You’ve got two veterans to talk to that may have been there.
Hands were cold, and definitely a stressfull time. Might of depressed the switch enough to make contact and turn the light on without knowing it. Then fully depressed the switch to stay on.

Should have used the same light Limpy uses. The light did flicker it didn't come on correctly. If I was the flagger I would have asked Nate and tue other racer to rerace again.
The only odd thing about that last is that the light was on way before it faced the racers. It was literally on while it was facing the ground. That (to me) is a flagger malfunction and I would have re-ran it.

if you're gonna have a "run it back" decision, you should define that in the meeting before the race; so no one can refuse to run again. and dont announce ANY decision unless it's the FINAL decision. otherwise, great race. 👍

The Light wasn't even up all the way on the Final anyways.... The light being in his RIGHT hand would allow the person in the left lane to see it firsts also. Also....
