If you guys haven't seen my first lecture, go ahead and check it out on my playlist! This time I invited my rep friends from ethicon and they really did show out.
here's a few things student were able to do
🔸️how to use and mix hemostatic agents.
🔸️how to read sutures and its features.
🔸️operate and handle open-case and/or endo staplers with reloads.
🔸️hands on learning with ligaclips.
🔸️how to use the bovie with a chicken thigh specimen.
🔸️how to use enseal with its own generator.
🔸️mock surgical procedure featuring a scrub tech student and me as a surgeon.
🔸️tips and tricks exclusive only to those who stayed for the case ☺️
*I gave my scrub tech a little pressure during the mock surgery lol 😆 yes people surgeons don't wait for nobody. Ride the waves and stay guarded.
I couldn't have done this fun interactive lecture without the directors help and my ethicon reps! Also, to all the students that participated, I'm humbled for the opportunity! Feels different when you live what you do and I get to share it with the world.

I can't wait to get in to the program. In October, I was already invited into the program and also had a meeting with them. All I need to do now is the teas exam this winter break!
It's been a crazy ride! I love spreading my tips and tricks that I've learned along the way cause if I had that when I was in school, I'd probably wouldn't make as many mistakes as I have but I wouldn't change it for the world. It led me here.

About how much more do surgical first assist make than surgical techs?
@@Yesyes-vj3cn they get paid per case ranging between 200 to 800. Depends per state too.

Love the diversity sis, because where I'm at I don't see many students who look like me smh but that looks like a LEGIT school ESPECIALLY with the mock equipment. Lastly, what city and/or state are you guys from?? God bless and thanks 4 ALWAYS giving back

Clinicals no difference. Employment is different.

This is florida.
American career college it’s a 20 month degree program and they also have the accelerated certification program

It has to be hybrid cause u need clinical hours
@@SURGICALTECHGEEK I contacted them. They said iid have to get clinical hours from a Surgery center in order to be certified but I can get the certification online.
@@emmanuellaasare5695 hmmm suspicious. So basically this program does not provide clinicals of their own which means YOU gotta go find one and I'll tell you it's literally the hardest thing to get any hospital/centers to sign a contract to give u hours. Ask them what's these:
1. So I have to find my own clinical sites?
2. If I can't find one, what happens?
3. What certification am I obtaining after the program? Is it cst?
4. How long is the program?
From what ur telling me, it's already a red flag.

@@emmanuellaasare5695 girl u gotta do ur due diligence and ask these questions cause there'll be a time where it's time for clinicals and they'll tell u to find it urself then ur screwed with all these loans and can't even take the exam. There's too many schools that scams students into thinking their program is cheap and fast but once they start rotations, everybody drops out.

Started in last month (October) doing all the didactic right now before we get it fully. Looking forward to doing this soon 🥹
It'll all make sense trust me. Right now it might not but it will! Take it slow.
