      Dekho bhaii ek baat bolun... Ye jo tumne likha hai ya copy paste kiya hai jo bhi kiya hai meri anxiety level kaafi decrease ho gyi ise dekh k, parso mera paper hai mujhe lag rha tha ki yeh ch bhtt zyada lamba aur difficult hai lekin ise dekh k laga ki aisa kuch nahi hai....

    Drawbacks of rutherford atomic model
    1) Electrons would revolve and thus undergo acceleration,during acceleration they would radiate energy
    2) Electons would then lose energy and fall into the nucleus
    3)If this were so, they would be unstable but as we know today atoms are quite stable.

    Postulates of Bohrs atomic model:-
    1) Only special kinds of atoms are allowed in atom known as discrete orbits.
    2) Electrons while revolving in these orbits , they would not radiate energy.

    He called this region of the atom as a nucleus. Rutherford's model proposed that the negatively charged electrons surround the nucleus of an atom. He also claimed that the electrons surrounding the nucleus revolve around it with very high speed in circular paths. He named these circular paths as orbits.

      Rutherford drawback was - He said that electrons moves in a circular path around the nucleus and as we all know that every body which moves in a circluar path will go through under accleration so electrons will also go through under acclerstion and will rediate (losse) energy because of which it will fall on nucleus and destroy it by which matter will become unstable

      Well yes, Rutherford did state that electrons revolve around the nucleus in circular orbits..
      However, since electrons are charged species (negatively charged) and according to Maxwells electromagnetic theory, any particle undergoing circular motion will accelerate. Hence, it will radiate energy..,hence, based on similar principles, if electron was to revolve around the nucleus without any specifications, which wasn't specified by Rutherford, would eventually lose energy and fall into the nucleus.
      However, in 1913, Bohr did come up with an atomic model to overcome the shortcomings of Rutherfords atomic model.

    1:17:52 when electrons move in a circular orbit they undergo acceleration and radiate energy, that means they fall into the nucleus and hence the nucleus will be destroyed and atom will also be destroyed. He can't explain the stability of atoms.
