Major Storm Surge and damage as the eye comes through Matagorda Beach.
I am boots on the ground and will be covering hurricane Beryl through it's entirety. Including where / near where the eye wall hits & surveying the damage afterwards.
I just left Houston Texas. Harris County.
Beach Erosion, Flooding, storm surge, Tornados, damage etc.
From Corpus Christi Texas, through Mustang Island, Port Aranas, Port Lavaca, Matagorda Beach, Galveston & Houston.

@@tammyblankenship6786 Amen to that. I saw where he drove in water and then couldn’t see the road when he was trying to go to higher ground. Thank the Lord he got to a higher location, cause while he was on the coast road H heard the news say to stay off coast highways. But because he was driving I wasn’t sure he got the warning. I am just glad they survived that monserous storm.

The real problem is traffic lights are out. People are running them, they should be treated as 4 way stops.
Centerpoint system is down.
That's what we do here when the red lights are down they are replaced with four way stop sign then we don't have any problems 🙏
Absolutely. That's just crazy. People know what they're supposed to do if the traffic lights are out. You'd think after being fortunate enough to be ok after a hurricane that they wouldn't put other's lives in danger or their own by running the traffic lights from 4 diff directions. Ppl are so impatient. Stay Safe out there. I'm your Oklahoma neighbor, we're praying for y'all. ❤

I was in Hurricane Katrina on August 29,2005. I live in Hattiesburg, Mississippi which is an hour and a half from Gulf Coast It was so terrible! No power or water for 3 weeks. So many lives lost! Such a tragedy! Never forgotten date! 😢😢

I'm glad they're ok too. I don't know if I'm ready for Jonathan to pick up this new interest in storm chasing. He already worries me to death with some of dangerous areas he goes to. God help us all cause you know wherever he goes we're gonna come along and just sit there biting our nails the whole time on the verge of an anxiety attack. 😂

I saw you guys get almost trapped in a body of water. Those videos show it all. Then it was wild you got out of your vehicle and there were brush and raddle snakes on the road. It was wild. But glad God answered prayer that others were driving in front of you. Cause I remember you could not see on the road. Oh correction, Magnolia was in a Hotel. Sorry Magnolia. When you reached the last beach I went to the live weather news and they warned people to stay off the roads near the beaches. I commented, but you were driving and I didn’t know if you got the message. That is when I began to pray.
The Good Lord has and will PROTECT YOU AND MAGNOLIA. WE ARE ALWAYS PRAYING FOR SAFETY AND PROTECTION For You. You have a very difficult job to do, and We all appreciate and thank You!!

Be Careful, Speed Trap on I-10. Thats the area my husband got caught for 2~3 Hurricanes on a tug boat. Thats where he picks up and drops off gas at the refineries. These are the places that people are trying to put millions of people out of a job. Buy Gas Vehicle’s.
I heard there was 110 tornado warnings in eastern TX, LA, AR. Glad you’re safe.

If you're gonna storm chase again just do one favor for us...Research all the info you can find on how to storm chase in the safest way possible. Learn all the tips and tricks to it so it you'll be equipped with all the knowledge you need. You're the best Jonathan, so thankful you're not hurt. Please go tell that beautiful woman how wonderful you think she is. When she was worried and sitting in the dark without power she still engaged with chat trying to ease OUR minds when she is the one that needed comforted. She hides it well tho cause she keeps a really cool head. Glad you're both safe! Love you both! Your hot meal isn't hot anymore hun. Lol❤

I would never want to be in a hurricane. We had bad winds a week or so ago. I woke up to my car window smashed from something hitting it. Trees, branches were down around town. Part of town without power for several hours. Read about the Red River Valley flood of ' 97. Evacuating was scary with manholes popping up while driving. I don't do well when weather acts up 😢 I appreciate the coverage, I was worried for you and those around. Thanks for the update 👍 ❤

That's why it's extremely important to follow your intuition more so, into these insane times. Plus the additional warning signs you were witnessing by others, leaving Mata Gorda Beach, to safer grounds. I totally understand, when not being able to see the white strip markers on the road/street, when torrential rain is pouring down hard, along with the winds circulating. I've experienced some heavy rain out in Alabama, while traveling years ago. Where possibly a tornado was out loose... somewhere too due to the hail coming down hard and the winds trying to blow me off the roadway with every.... heartbeat I took because it was that intense, and no telling how heavily damped/saturated, the edges off the highway were, too. Since shoulder lanes are not wide enough to even feel safe. So, I knew about the high risk of that, too. And, you know, another high possibility, where one or more vehicles, end up crashing into me from behind. Yet, I refused to not give up, while on undying Faith mode, So, I was finally able to barely-barely,... see an exit, and took shelter, at a gas station, near off the exit. And yes, I was praying all... the way through that... challenging experience. Nk. Mercy...
Buffering now. Going to a hotel that has free breakfast is best. You look better JLR but don’t forget to hydrate and eat chips to help with heat exhaustian. If you feel effected by the heat.
We took Cheese puff nips with us on the road and they were actually pretty good 👍

I send you a message saying to you and your passenger to stay safe. That’s dangerous the storms are threatening. That happened here in Colorado one time water rushing down the street people driving. I used sides streets but I was bad. I had to go make a meal for a client. It’s scary. That usually doesn’t happen here in the higher elevations.❤️

God has his arms around you John.... I didn't know if you would float away in the surge. I know the history of Texas storms!!! My friends live in Houston, Hurricane Harvey took their big 2 story home away by a flood in 2017. They lived in a hotel near a year to rebuild, I think they got hit again.??? God had you safe, we kept begging you to turn around. Thankfully you both made it through..with you living in Florida, wait awhile, if you were here for Hurricane Irma & Ian, you know the long damage that occurs! Praying the hurricane season settles, but with the forecast it's not looking good. Hopefully Florida, the Caribbean, All the Gulf, & Atlantic I pray doesn't endure rough hurricanes, but, it's forecasted, and the peak hurricane season is August & September. Be ready. Hurricanes arrest nothing to fool with..I knew Texas was going to be a water event, that's Texas as I have seen Friends go through many floods. God Bless, be safe getting to Florida
