We cook the sapasui differently but if that way comes out and it tastes good then that's the most important thing.

It’s not as good as my mother in law’s sapasui but my samoan husband loves it. Anything is good when done with love 🥰I’m filipino trying to learn how to cook it and i’ve seen so many people cook it differently.

I ain’t never seen Samoans make it with lamb, it’s always with pisupo at least here in America.

Most Samoans in New Zealand and Australia use lamb instead of pisupo. I think the pisupo version is more the American Samoan recipe

    Frozen veg 😢
And you burnt the garlic . Makes it taste bitter .
Try adding 1 star anise and 1 cinnamon stick for the edge on sunday .
This papalagi knows things . 😊

I’ve tried sapasui many times and people used frozen veges. Sorry for the burnt garlic, i’ll try do better next time with star anise and cinnamon sticks. Btw, im not palagi. Fai fai lemu😊✌️

      @@chandrat8489 I know , That's why it's a suggestion.
Only if you use pork belly though.
Or just carry on making it classically.
With cheap beef and far too much garlic and ginger .
      Yeah , I know , sole .

It’s ok! I’m not Samoan but atleast I tried. The most important thing is my Samoan husband loves it..😄👍🏼

I’m Samoan, I’ve seen a lot of Samoan cook it different ways
and still, it comes out almost the same way, just as long it taste good ,then everything is ok, each Samoan families have
      different ways of cooking it,
so you had cooked it your way
      and your husband loves it,
      that’s all it counts
I can cook it three different ways and still taste good,
You cooked it right way, you way Peace Out 🤟🏾
