  • Dental #implants are made of titanium or zirconia.

#Titanium implants are very popular because they have been used for many years and well proven in terms of body compatibility, stability, and durability.

    They consist of 2 pieces:

    - The implant body: it is inserted into the jawbone (under the gumline) and fuses with the surrounding bone tissue (osseointegration).
    - The abutment: it connects the implant body with the dental prosthesis (crowns, bridges, and dentures).

#Zirconia implants are one piece. This means that the implant body and the abutment are connected. Compared to titanium implants, zirconia implants haven’t been used long enough to understand its long-term success.

You did a great job explaining why people should consider a titanium implant, especially if the patient is a grinder. You did a better job than other dentists I have seen. Thank you for your video.

But titanium implants contain other metals, such as nickel, which I am allergic to.

Is carbon filter screw used in zirconia implant hazardous to health? I read that it conducts electricity and it damage the lungs. Thank you.

Can you shed light on nHA coated titanium implants?

I am shocked to find out the ceramic ones come with aluminum oxide. I would like vodeo also on the other mentals present in titanium implants . Strumsn does a model with grade 4 but it contain 12% of zirconium .. it's not stated what grade zirconium... hoverer on a leaflet you can see it’s been toughened with aluminium and vandamium , which means the grade 4 T in it isn’t very pure anymore. There are still traces of other metals in grade 4 titanium alone. What are the risk of this metals in oure body. Who is at risk of developing sensitivity? Should i take metal sensitivity test? I read about it affecting lungs, spreading to other tissues, when does it happen, over time ? I read they can chip to surrounding tissue and casue problem. I dont think patient is told much of what are side effects or the full implant chemical composition. Dentist seem to be upset to get asked to much

Did you find anything else out? What's the best zirconia implant?

@@GuruPrashanth7970 hi I have decided that best are titanium grade 4 from noble bio or strauman .. they don’t have any toxic metals in and are strong still. I would not recommend the zirconia at all .. they crack… plus they contain aluminium… and nobody tells you ..the grade 4 titanium had turned out purest in the study. They grade 5 had toxic metals on the surface, apparently the cheaper brands may have lower standards, just seen recently another guy zirconia implant cracked and I would never go for this you will lose bone you will need this removed. Just get titanium for peace of mind also most of them zirconia I believe are cemented wchih on many cases can lead to gun disease and. You can’t see cement in X-ray getting inside gum .. I would just get smth that would stay there the longest time possible consering cost and heath wise

On Straumann's website, they say the zirconia Implant it's a PURE Ceramic Implant System and it's metal-free, so who said it contains aluminum?

    • @333moki

@@NasmoTV1 yes they say this, I searched
Thing on a web and. I found one article that was saying they are toughened with aluminium .. but the aluminium was in some different chemical stracture , it could be. Trick , but if you want to be sure go to you doctor and. Ask for the leaflet from the implant , each implant is packed sterile and. Has leaflet in like all meds . There you can most likely read that implant MAY Cause bone loss,. But honesty I tried to get cookware and. 100% ceramic was always breaking in ancient coultural , it’s good and. Nstural but I would not like for my teeth that kind of 100%ceramic . I thought this civilisation had really achieved close to strong as teeth natural ceramic but I don’t belive it, I am venom very science oriented but I have logic and imagination and it’s good for me, I may be wrong therefore , so you pls check the. Leaflet that probably only your doctor may allow you to look at if ask him, then. Look at ingreedences and. Check all that in it and let me know pls I would like to know if the article was lying, it may be that this metal was used and. Turned to some acid or smith that they can say it’s metal free , whatever it is there mak sure you check imgreedences ok ,, pls do it and let me know , by the way meantime I asked retired dentist for opinion and. He said high chances you will have. Bone loss and. Other teeth may be affected not worth it but I want it I hope if I take care be ok plus I wanted that tissue level and he said in molar my case best the bone level indeed so I am unsure becoz of shape he. Said it’s thicker , but he also said zirconia are strong and natural but I think his retired and. Not updated knowledge well becoz if look at studies they break easily plenty doctors on CZcams say they don’t like working witth them becoz of it, now I still will try ask this doc if it’s molar and. I chew a lot if not better get grade 5 implant totanium , this won’t break I will have. Peace of mind I would probabaky much rather have a bit metal there that’s strong then having broken zirconia removed you will induce more bone loss and it’s very difficult and. Costly procedure that dentist don’t like doing, why do you want zirconia.? I mean doctors don’t like removing broken implants I’m the last sentece

I'm planning to remove my root canal tooth soon, so this will be left me with two choices. First, I do nothing after tooth extraction and continue my life with one tooth missing. second, I do implant, and this led me to two choices also, first, Titanium Implant. second, Zirconia Implant.
I will do more research about that and I will discuss my options more in-depth with my dentist. thanks for your feedback.
