  • Needle Nose Pliers have a variety of uses for projects around the house. I like to use them to hold on to the top of a sink basket while the bottom of the basket is being tightened. Needle nose pliers are handy for removing and replacing the flange on a bath tub shoe.
    You can remove a broken light bulb from a socket. It is handy to use for removing a broken key in a lock when only a small portion of the key is exposed.
    They are great for electrical projects and craft projects.

    Another good use for needle nose pliers, is for holding a nail so you don’t accidentally smack your thumb or fingers with the hammer when trying to hammer a nail into a wall.

    Are these soft jaw pilers? I've been using pliers that have serrated jaws to bend house wiring but I'm concerned about the pattern they leave on the wire.

    • @FIXITHomeImprovementChannel
      @FIXITHomeImprovementChannel  Před 8 lety

      Hi, the end of the pliers have a very shallow serrated or waffle pattern to grab the wire. They are designed to give you grip without damaging the wire.

    Can I use these pliers to catch all those pesky hornets flying outside my house, or should I call an exterminator?

    • @10_Percent_For_The_Big_Guy
      @10_Percent_For_The_Big_Guy Před 3 lety

      Lol, I can’t tell if this is a joke or if you’re being serious, but just in case it’s the former, why in the world would you want to use pliers to try to catch hornets? Your best bet would be to:
      A: stay TF away from them and yes,
      B: Call an exterminator ASAP
      (And yes, I realize this comment is almost a year old, but just for future reference. Lol.)
