- The project with this video was to create an ambiant track inspired by video games soundtracks like The Medium or Silent Hill and the musics of Akira Yamaoka or Arkadiusz Reikowski.
My goal was to re-create that classic Piano sounds using the Kontakt instruments from @WESTWOODINSTRUMENTS : Alt Piano, Lost Piano and Electric Home Piano.

So pensive, mournful, beautiful.
Very Nice! Subscribed!
Thank you so much for making this. It sounds delightfully atmospheric
Thank you. Glad you like it!
Beautiful! Can't imagine if it's done with real instruments like cello, piano and guitar.
More tutorials! You so cool!
Doesn't sound silent hill at all but sounds amazing
Know what you mean. It was inspired by Akira Yamoka's sounds among others. Not by a specific game or project.
@@pauldarbot3449 it says "silent hill" in the title
Yay, tutorials :D
Hope you enjoyed it !
Ive scored a video game for the first time this year! Wasnt perfect but im hyped to work on the next one. Your videos are really helping me with motivation!🖤

Hey Paul! I got to say this track is very good. You know what your talking about and you really know how to use every instrument perfecly in order to create something out of it. I truly believe you have a talent for music and for a long time i was interested by music production. I never had the inspiration to make some but i kinda know what kind of music i wanna make and its video game music. My friend started doing some kind of Darkest Dungeon type game but in a universe pretty much like Silent Hill and the backrooms and this got me really inspired to make musics for it. But i don't know anything about music producing, all i know is that i wanna make some kind of Silent Hill or Cry of fear type of music and i found your video! I'm really sorry to waste your time reading my comment but i just have some questions: What music software do you use? I got my hand on the free version of FL studio but it was extremely limited and i was very lost on it. Second one is: Where do i actually start? Like, what type of music i should do to practice? What kind of instrument do i use? I mean, i'm not gonna blast you with questions but if you could help me figure what to do it would be very kind. If you have better things to do its prefecly understandable and i wont mind that you don't answer me but yeah, very nice vid and you got me very inspired, keep on keeping on hope you grow because you really deserve it! Oh, yeah and by the way i'm using BandLab right now if it changes anyting...
Hello Mouna, thank you for your comments. I'm working on Reaper. As for where to start, it depends on the type of music you want to make. If you like orchestral music, I'd recommend taking a look at Audio Imperia Nucleus Lite or BBC Symphonic Orchestra. ProjectSam makes excellent tutorials on how to write simple and short music tracks. That's where I started learning how to compose orchestral music.
Thank you for the answer i am definetly gonna look a that! thank you and have a nice day!
