Adding a small stabilizer to this bike tray would make it multipurpose if you need extra stability. Thinking of using something like this for an e-bike attaching to a larger kayak.
Those bushings are legit bro
Never imagined we'd see this on the UltraLite! Well done!
Thanks for the comment! 😃 - Jay
This is great! I've been wanting to do something like this with one of my boats, getting lots of ideas!
You guys are the best! Looking forward to more from simply Mountain biking
Thanks for the note! - Jay
Nice! Welcome back gents... I can't wait to see this adventure. Looks awesome!
Thanks! Looking forward to sharing it. - Jay
DUDE! I can not WAIT to see this trip's video! I mainly do canoeing, kayaking, and kayaking videos and I've actually wondered about combing the two in one trip! One of my CZcams buddies actually suggested a name change for my channel tp "Paddling, Pedaling, and Moore" LOL!
Nice! You should definitely combine the sports and make an adventure out of it! - Jay
@@SimplyMountainBiking So I shred this video with my buddies and one of them told me that he actually does an adventure race every December where they do this! I am going to have to look at in more detail, but it sounds fun!
AT LAST!!! WELCOME BACK!!!
😀
@@SimplyMountainBiking Just an idea but as you've done Grips already, Flat Pedals or Saddle Test would be nice!
@@The_One-Eyed_Undertaker Thanks for sharing the ideas! - Jay
Just discovered your channel, and I really like the content. Good editing, nice quality. Definitely here to see more!
Welcome aboard! - Jay
Really good to see you back on CZcams. It's been a long time. Well-done video, entertaining even tho I probably won't do that.
Thanks for the note - glad you enjoyed it :) - Jay
Living life!
Yes indeed! 😀 - Jay
Your incredible, exactly
Just discovered you dudes, looking for a way to tie my fat bike to 21 rxt x 300 linq,I hope this works!
Dude! We'd love to see a pic of the setup once you do it - sounds amazing. - Jay
Great Job! Super cool!
😀 - Jay
Now mount stabilizers under each end of bike tray.
Now how to tow kayak with fatbike? hahaha just kidding. This is awesome.
Haha - funny enough, I found some ideas on how to do that when planning logistics for the trip - we ended up using a staging/drop point - towing a kayak on single-track didn't seem like it would make for a fun day 😜. - Jay
This is wild, I like it!!!
Thanks ;) -Jay
Now how about mounting the kayak to the bike?
Question on the mounting block on the bottom of 1UP sliding rack, can I use only one hole on each block to fasten it down once I have it positioned?
Thanks for the question. You should be able to use 2 holes on both the right and left side. The great thing I found about the 1UP flush mount brackets is that they can be rotated at an angle to match the angle of the rail you're mounting them to. The video clips are in rapid succession, but you can briefly see that I slide two T-Slot bolts into each rail (right and left) at 2:07. - Jay
There are 26" foldable Bicycles on Amazon but the reviews aren't great!
Can you carry the Kayak on the Mountain Bike? 🤔
Funny you should ask - we are looking to do that very thing... Stay tuned! -Eddie
Do you have a way to carry the kayak on your bike too?
In the works ;) - Jay
Why not mount it the other way and use a tray that extends off the back and fork mount it?
That's definitely an option - I had limited time to get the rig up and working, so I went the route that required minimal modifications to the kayak. - Jay
