I didn't like it first time I heard this version , then it hit me( somewhere right between the eyes) and it blew me away. It's like Oasis doing the pistols.
Man, this is totally in a different key from the studio version and all the other live versions I've heard, and it totally kicks ass this way at this key and with the backing keyboard, except that a faster tempo in the second part of the guitar solo would have fit the song better. This is one of my favorite Oasis songs and I love this version of it.
Loved hearing this in the 2008/2009 tour. but not only is it down 3 steps in key, but also they changed the chord progression. The original has 2 quick chords after the opening Aminor chord and then final two chords of the verse progression...where here they play only one long F#m and then the final two chords of the progression. Still rocks though! It was awesome to hear it again. Changes or not!
I was at that gig. Was fantastic. The acoustics were amazing. In the afternoon, Noel got on the stage to do a sound check & it turned into a mini gig playing a load of tunes he doesn't usually play. A fantastic day.
what a fuckin tune man. hairs on the back of my neck n all that. remember this tune at knebwirth when Liam had a pint in his hand. ah man fuck me memories good times man !!
That will be because during this tour liams voice was quite literally fucked. Infact I’d say due to his vocal chord disease it was completely screwed from the start of the tour. Thank god he’s fixed it now
@@andrewwebster2598 Imagine Liam struggling with his harsh voice to reach the high notes. It would sound like Kermit The Frog, the day after the cocaine party.
Not a fan of the huge change of key, presumably to compensate for Liam's inability to sing as high as he used to be able to. Not only that but Noël started changing the keys and chord arrangements as early as 2000. And I know why he was doing that to.
Wow, if ever there was an example of how much Liam's voice has waned over the years this is it. 12/13 years on from when it was originally recorded, even a key change isn't enough to keep his voice on an even keel. This sounds awful in comparison to how he was belting it out circa 96-97.
Well it differs. Not all singers get to wake up and drink their tea and suck their raw eggs hoping to maintain their voice well in their 40's 50's. Liam smokes a lot and that messed it up. He's still a better frontman than 90% of rock singers out there
I think this is (sadly) far from his worst. from the top of my head that would be his live renditions of "stop crying your heart out". get your point tho
I have a lot of respect for Noel. Such a underrated songwriter & rhythm guitarist, good depth in lyrics too. Thank f**** I was born in 86
91 for me and it gives me goosebumps OASIS4EVA
that voice man
never hits the ground, goes through the clouds and right into the stars
I didn't like it first time I heard this version , then it hit me( somewhere right between the eyes) and it blew me away. It's like Oasis doing the pistols.
I adore this song. My favourite song ever. Saw them 11 times, glad I saw them do this at the Eden Prohect
I'm jealous

It's sucks. Admit it.
Man, Noel’s guitar tone was biblical at this point. Incredible stuff!

Good point well made my pal OASIS4EVA 👏👏

Best record of this band !! This song is really smashing !

What a version!
Get in their man!!! Great version!!!
Best 08-09 version i've heard!
Wonderful :D
Brilliant
His vocal on this is right for this version of the song in my opinion.
Tune
better recording then the album
buena vercion 👍👍
Fucking great
Probably best song of
Completely different chord progression. It now sounds like supersonic.
Liam was gone in 08/09 never would’ve dreamed he could sound so good again over a decade later
I actually don't mind the key change, it sounds pretty good. Funny, Liam still is having trouble with it.

I fucking love this album. Oasis' sticky fingers album !!!
I don't know why Noel hates this album, it's awesome, better than HC or SOTSOG
I love this album. It might be my favorite of theirs.
I wouldn't rank it too far behind the first 2 tbh. Maybe even better than WTSMG.
Harvey Weinstein Ejaculated On Me Not that good
Not better then HC but deffo shoulders
Deffo mate
THE ASS HAS BEEN KICKED LADIES AND GENTLEMEN
Turn up Noel's mic
I ain't never spoke to God
And I ain't never been to heaven
Oddly it sounds like Liams had an easier time singing at this key compared to the 1996 version.
He could never sing it now!!
@@zammomaguire3835Doesn’t have the lung capacity anymore
The chord at the start sounds like a carbon copy of the beginning of the studio version to ‘D’you know What I Mean’
Now I hear that 🥂
Is it really from 2009? Asking because Oasis hadn't played any BHN tracks in almost a decade. Liam loved the album though.
Thats what I thought because Noel doesn't like playing them, but I searched the setlist online seems to confirm that it was played
of course it is
My big mouth was in their 2009 set often :)
Should have done Fade In/Out

This punky version is better than album
Would love to hear this key in a studio recording
what 's the key?
Does the main riff not sound similar chords to the Supersonic verse riff
It sounds like supersonic if you put It slow
Play supersonic but stick to power chords F# A B. Add in a C# or G# when you feel like it.
Where’s Bonehead?
Andżej I know mate, I meant band lost something when he departed

+Arturo Vego To make it easier to sing for Liam I guess, that's usually the reason why you change the key of a song :)
Need Bonehead

Dale Hanson actually sounds better and more raw

p online No not a patch on 1996
Watch fakest radio
Their worst song.
The fuck?
