Whoever is playing the saxophone on this is KILLING IT!!
My parents only watched this morning news show, so this was the "get your ass up and get to school" theme of my youth.
If I heard this, I knew I was running late. 😂
The colors. The little squiggly. The theme. All yes.
This is the most 90s thing I've ever seen.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Most early 90s thing ever.
My mom grew up in the 90's and 2000's
@@MrLyoseaYes, it was very popular in its 1990 through 1996 usage.
@@xavierharris9749Your mom must be very young. That song is called "Oh What A Beautiful Morning", by Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein II, from the 1950s play, "Oklahoma!", given a 1990s instrumental modern sound and image.
Love this music. Used to listen to it every morning before kindergarten and first grade.
One of my favorite intros! Gives a true wake up in the morning!
I miss this theme song..takes me back to elementary school
Nostalgic.
@@dougfredricks2017Yes, very nostalgic for 1990 through 1996 and how I could have made one particular decision that would have helped change the course of my history and others in the family. It would be nice to go back to those times with what I have known more recently and it would have been so much better. This opening theme helps with that fantasy as well.
I remember watching this at my babysitter’s house every morning! I used to draw the logo on the Magna Doodle lol
Damn I miss the 90’s
Harry Smith now works for NBC News, and is part of the Sunday Today segment called "Sundays with Harry."
This was my alarm for me to wake my butt up as a kiddo in the 90s.
Now it's back to CBS This Morning
This looks like an intro to a sitcom.
Hmmm. Sounds like David Sanborn is playing the sax on this intro.
Are we going to talk about how this is literally "Oh What a Beautiful Morning" from Oklahoma?
Yes. This is literally "Oh What a Beautiful Morning" from Oklahoma, performed cheesily with a sax.
they sure are doing it damn good for it being "cheesy" which it's anything but
I remember this theme !
Like this
The current one is so much better than whatever this is
I hated this intro as a kid.
This is cool retro, but at the time the NBC morning theme was so much better.
@@alfredvalrie5541 do you have a link to it?

@@alfredvalrie5541The NBC morning theme for the NBC "Today" Show at that time was a part of "The Mission" series that most NBC News programs used for intros and outros since September 1985 and used through the 2010s and still use for "NBC Nightly News" and others, but not the "Today" Show.
I personally like this theme over that one for a morning show theme. John Williams, the famous 90-year-old movie composer had composed the NBC News theme and it has been good for its other broadcasts where it is used.
However, for the NBC News "Today" Show, I find the early to mid-1980s theme a lot better than their successive "Today" Show themes.
@@alfredvalrie5541This "CBS This Morning" theme from the 1990s is one of the cutest morning show themes ever.
