How I Locate Stripers Migrating In The Delta

- Here is a short tutorial video of stripers aka striped bass migrate during the 4 seasons in the California Delta. I use a variety of maps and research articles to determine the areas where the stripers are on the move.

They spawn in the months of spring, fall is when they move into the river system

Everyone typically fishes at the mouth of Mokelumne and Georgiana, however, I have heard the land owners have restricted any access nowadays.

Im headed to the delta in 2 weeks rio vista on a boat what island do u recommend to fish was thinking sherman island or prospect slough im staying at vieiras resort on delta can u please give me an idea where to go !
Sorry for the late response, I would fish flats and river intersections. The stripers have arrived and will continue to come to the inner delta for spawning. I would target Prospect Slough and Liberty Island for sure. You won't get alot of bites yet quality bites in my opinion. We will be heading to Liberty Island in the next 2 weeks. My buddies have started fishing the east delta and catching keeper size stripers to a few double digit fish. Good luck

Your welcome, my recommendation is to target hot spot areas. Check out my other videos that showcases the various techniques and the small tips that I use most of the time to scout new areas. Do delta stripers really spawn in the fall? Thought they come to delta in Fall primarily to feed.
You are absolutely correct, I should have specified they only spawn once a year from April to July. They will migrate in the fall and late winter to reside and spawn once it warms up in the upcoming spring.
Do u fish the California aqueduct that’s the Closest spot I can get strippers
I haven't fished for quite a some time but I have friends who fish it occasionally

The aqueducts gets hotter than other places, however, they are feeding from now until November. I would recommend fishing early before sunset or evening around sunrise. Spooks for topwater and jerkbaits are the baits to use.
