You want just suction, no agitation spinning brush on vacuum, from what I'm told. There are enzyme soaks, there are wool safe chemicals for low moisture cleaning.
Where could I purchase that mesh you have under the rugs?
Where did you get the metal floor to lay the rug on? What other thing could be used for this purpose?
This video is great, some written instructions/explanation would be nice. Well, I will now go to a pro to get my rug cleaned. sigh.
Use 4 inch sch 40 pvc to make your vat that way you can adjust the size and store easily

A duster, it vibrates the rug so the dirt falls out, notice after the duster, he swept up what dropped out.

do the last wet part with WOOL and say goodbye to your carpet.
Water won't hurt your wool rug. I'ts heat that shrinks it when it's wet. You can clean wool with cool water.
