I think a lot of hikers have unrealistic expectations for their shoes. But in all fairness the shoes should not blow out like that in only 350 miles in any type of conditions. The manufactures seem to put a lot of tread on the shoes, but cheap out on everything else.

I like how you fix the shoes with duct tape! That's pretty handy stuff! You can fix a hole in tent, rip on a puffy etc

A great hiking shoe is the Asics Trabuco Max, also accommodates gaiters. The sole is thicker for great comfort and cushion. Just my 2 cents….Loving your content, keep crushing it!

The mileage done in those trail shoes was on tough terrain with lots of snow and water. I reckon they have done a decent distance.

They need to be replaced.
Shoes should be considered an expendable item.
Replace before they fall apart.

I agree about Altras. Quality has gone downhill. I have a hole in the toe and side of one trail runner and they only have about 300 AT miles on them.🤷🏼‍♀️. Happy trails.🤘🏻🥾⛰️
