- White Vinegar Bath is an all natural method to keep your Strawberries and fruits fresh and last longer without spoiling. Vinegar kills all the molds, spores and bacteria that's on the fruit surface.
What you will need:
1 Cup White Vinegar
3 Cups Water
Make a solution out of vinegar and water. Dump the strawberries into this solution and leave it for 2-3 minutes. Drain and rinse the strawberries and pat dry with paper towels.
After they're completely dry place them back in the container it came in (make sure to rinse clean and dry container beforehand) lined with paper towels. You can also use a food container to store them, but make sure to leave the top slightly open when you refrigerate it. Store in a refrigerator until you use them.

FINALLY! Someone who gets to the point and gives measurements. Thank you very much ❤️
Right ?? Every other video is like 10 minutes long lol
A perfect solution! This really works and I also have kept strawberries in my fridge for two weeks using this method. I just checked every couple of days to make sure everything was still unspoiled --- and everything was perfect! Thank you, Creative Spark for this "berry-saving" solution! 👍💕
Shirley Marie Bradby ohh thanks for the feedback. I am going to!🍓🍓❤️
Thanks for sharing this info. I am so tired of having to throw away my strawberries.
We've had a bumper crop in our strawberry patch this year (we'll probably get 10 gallons by the time we've finished). I've been freezing most of them but this solution was tested online as the very best way to keep them fresh. Thanks for sharing!
This method really does work. I do it every time I buy strawberries. Thank you!
Tried this last week and it’s really worked for us! They’ve lasted all week.:)
Thank you for a clear and concise video. Also for getting straight to the point.
I TRIED IT IT WAS SO GOOD
I'll be freezing them after the bath solution. I love them in smoothies
Haven't thought about freezing strawberries. I'll try that. Thank you for the tip. :)
That's what I do once I clean my fruits
Trying today on our home grown berries. Thanks
Alright done ✅ I tried This... NO vinegar only strawberry 🍓 flavor yummy.
I heard Tupperware has a famous container that preserves for 4 weeks. Truly, no fuzzy 🍄
Yey! I'm so glad to hear that 😀
I tried this on my last batch, and it worked. However, I just bought a new clamshell and tried this again, but it didn't work as no matter how much I waited, the strawberries remained wet and soggy and are now a darker red I went through many paper towels to no avail. I'm now using a fan and will see if it does anything
I freeze them whole and fresh and when I want a few I just take them out use them for consumption. But thanks for your advice,
I will try today...my strawberries alway go bad...thank you!
Will this method work for blending strawberry’s anf mixing with other fruits in a smoothie???
Is the vintage bath also good for washing other vegetables?
Thanks.

Thanks!
I've read on MANY sites that 2-3 minutes is NOT enough time to destroy all the spores; that it needs to 15-20 minutes. Does anyone really know HOW long it needs to be????
Straight to the point lol thanks this works👍
This is preventive thank you for this great tip...!
Thanks
Thank you!
It has to be white vinegar? Can't be apple cider?
plain white vinegar
This Really Does Works!!! Thank You!!! 🤗
Does it really ?
@@lissethm8557 YES! Still will be juicy, no vinegar odor or tasted and I'll always use this method to keep them in the frig. No rotting spots, no soft, firm.
I accidentally left mine sitting in the solution overnight. Are they bad?
That good
Can you use apple cider vinegar by any chance?
no, it will transfer the flavour to the berries
Can I use apple cider vinegar?
I haven't really tried apple cider vinegar on this, so not sure if it'll affect the flavor of strawberries. But you can give it a try and let me know if it works. 🙂
lumber tycoon 2 :D
My strawberries tasted like vinegar :D
Oh noo...did you use the right proportion of water to vinegar? It can happen when the water bath is too concentrated..If this happens again next time make sure to wash them thoroughly and leave it to air dry.
Perhaps you didn't rinse them well enough in clear water after the vinegar bath. Or perhaps you a flavoured vinegar (like apple cider vinegar)? Sorry to hear this didn't work for you, it always works great for me. Peace!
You are supposed to wash the strawberries for 15 minutes to make sure the vinegar smell is gone
THIS DOES NOT WORK!! THIS ACTUALLY DRIED OUT THE STRAWBERRIES MUCH FASTER AND I ENDED UP HAVING TO THROW THEM OUT THE NEXT DAY.
