It worked 😀 I just bought a 14 Corolla and I literally had to fight my window in the rain driving on the highway. This was fast, simple, painless, and free!! Thanks man!!
Took the door panel off and dug around the window with my hand trying to figure out what was keeping my window from going all the way down. Was about to take the door completely apart but decided to first look this up on CZcams. Thank you so much for this video. Connected the controller back up and held the button up for 5 seconds… presto. Worked on the first try. Window finally went all the way day. You are the man.
It worked and has saved me some bucks...the electrician wanted to open my door panel and was saying it's the motor apparently, to rip me off. The count of 5 did the trick. Thanks 😊🙏
Oh thank you so much!!!! I just replaced my alternator, and I figured unplugging the battery f'd with the onboard computer. Was going to take it to a dealership tonight to get fixed. You saved me, what, $500? Hahaha. Hats off friend, hats off!
Dude you're a genius. The power window worked on the passenger side, but not when I tried to operate it from the driver's side. I was in despair, as the specter of a $500 repair loomed. Summer's coming and I needed to roll down the window from the main switch. So I opened the passenger side door and rolled down the window, and held it for a few seconds. I rolled it up and held it, then repeated it. I go to the driver's side and voila, now the passenger window down rolls down from the main switch! AWESOME!!!
Same here. Seems you do this at the window with an issue. In my case the only window with an issue after my battery change was front passenger window. Could not reset passenger window using driver's switch for passenger window.
I'm having same problem. Just got a new battery today. When I lock the car with remote key device after getting out, the driver side window comes down and stays down.
Please , i have changed the battery too and the central control of window in thd driver door does not work , i can not control the other 3 windows , how can i fix it ?
Dude!!! Saved me so much grief! I replaced the drivers door on an 09 Kluger (Highlander) and this was the only thing that wouldn’t work. I tried your trick and it worked perfectly. Thanks man!
This worked on my 19' Tacoma - I had the passenger door panel off and afterwards the window wasn't working from driver side control (still working on passenger button though) and both sides the automatic up/ down feature was gone. Reset both sides as shown in video and it resolved all the issues. Thank you!!
I had this after a battery change on a Toyota IST. Didn't know what was wrong but knew it was related to the disconnect as all was ok prior. I followed your advice and all now works as it should. Teaching an old dog new tricks. Thank you so much. I've subscribed. Cheers Reiner New Zealand.
@@DIYPintoHow do you turn the automatic up feature OFF? In the past year I have almost decapitated both of my dogs and my wife. It's outright dangerous!

Thank you so much, I had an issue where the safety close on my passenger side kept opening while closing. Did what you said and it works! Just a tip: to reset the window make sure you use that specific button. For example, passenger front, you have to use the passenger side window lever. You can’t reset other windows using the master windows levers on the driver side.
👍 i did with my passenger side door, because the door was replaced. I did the steps with the window close and open and i push the botton 10sec in both sides and my issue was resolved. Thanks for the video. 2018 Toyota camry 2
It worked on my 2009 nissan altima as well after I had my car battery changed, the feature stopped working. Glad I stumbled upon your video. Thanks brother! 👏🏽👏🏽💪🏽💪🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Thank youuu I have a Toyota Camry 2011 and my window kept rolling back down once I rolled it up and once I held it for 5 seconds, it stayed up!! Thanks a lot
It worked for my 2001 Toyota Tacoma!! On mine it was the driver side wood roll down but the passengers would not so I rolled down the driver side counted for 5 seconds then rolled it up counted for 5 seconds and then the passengers window rolled down but the drivers wouldn't! Lol. I did another count and they both work. 🤙

Omg! Thank you so very much! Worked on my 2022 Toyota Corolla. Just spent hours at the dealership for a bad battery and all of a sudden my window wouldn't close without fighting as it would keep rolling down a little. Tried your trick and it took a couple of times but my window is working as it should! You literally saved me hours.
Sweet! My driver window on my 2018 Corolla doesn't automatically drop and raise anymore. Bring it up to close, and then hold for 5 seconds. Got it! Gonna try it next time I'm driving somewhere
@@DIYPintoit's not working for me on a 21 Corolla hatchback I've tried it multiple times and it won't go down and up automatically I reset all the other windows and they're fine now but I can't get this one to go up and down automatically
I tried this on my 05 Highlander for the 2 back windows that would go down with the master controller on the drivers door, but not up. The windows work fine with the back door switches. The first time I tried this trick on the drivers side back door the window wouldn't go up or down no matter which switch I used...total panic! I tried a few times and finally the window went down, but wouldn't go up! Tried the other rear door, same thing, this time the window was stuck down a few inches. Well I kept trying to reset the back windows and ended up finally getting at least the individual back doors to work, but still the master switch will only lower both but not raise them, back to square 1! I guess now I'll try buying a new master switch...
The window wouldn’t roll down all the way, and had to find a way to fix it before my daughters drivers test. I wouldn’t believe this shit worked! Goddamn, almost had to take the whole door off 🤦♀️ thank you!
HOLY MOLY. Thank the lord I found this video. My 2007 Toyota Kluger battery died over this weekend so it left my car in a mall parking lot with all the windows down no way of getting a new battery until hours later and once the new battery was in radio was locked and my automatic window on drivers side wouldn’t automatically go up or down but it did work normally ( I know third world problems) it was bugging me and about 5 mins ago found this video and went out done that b*tch in 10seconds. Does doing this to the Driver’s side window fix the passenger’s side window that won’t go down, or go I do this to the control button ñ the non-working window?
WOW!!!! It worked! THANK YOU!! After replacing the 12-volt battery in my Prius my left front window would only go halfway down and if I tried to put it up it would rebound back to that same halfway position by itself. I figured I'd be replacing the switch, but this worked! Now it's back to normal! It's been acting strange since the last time the battery was removed which was a long time ago. I was ready to go dealer but I found this video. I have an issue with the passenger window too, maybe do it from the passenger door and not from the driver side. I will try it.
For newer model 2020 Toyota Tundra, the reset process is different than shown in video. One must hold down power switch in the one-touch closing position and continuing to hold for 6 seconds after closing. Then hold down switch in open position and continue to hold for 2 seconds beyond opening. Lastly, hold down switch in closing position and continue holding for 2 seconds beyond closed. This will reset one-touch auto feature. I had to do this after replacing battery in vehicle.
I'll wind my window down half way. When I go to close it, it'll wind all the way down even though I'm pulling it up. Then it will stay down and won't move at all. Then it will work after half an hour or so. Would you know what the problem is? Thanks
