A Pro-4 off-road racing truck took to the snowy incline of Mount Snow to prove what's possible for Red Bull Frozen Rush. Just one week after record-breaking snowfall in the Northeast, Champion off-road racer Ricky Johnson took advantage of all the extra powder by riding a figure eight trail with jumps and berms while thousands of winter and motorsports fanatics cheered him on.
Ricky faced an onslaught of new challenges when entering the frozen playground and while plowing upward, hitting jumps, he destroyed the perception that off-road racing trucks can't succeed on snow.

For you younger folks that dont know the guy that does most of the talking is Ricky Johnson one of the fastest Motorcross/Supercross racers of all time (back in the 80s early 90s)

you can look them up on Torc series website. His truck runs the Pro-4 class (4x4) with about 800-900HP.

You should definitely check out the schuss mountain snow challenge! Its a local race in Michigan in mancelona up the ski hill. I race with the little dogs in 33" and under and 33"-36". There are some home built trucks here that would give you a straight up run for your money. Totallygnarly has some great footage on his channel.

spike studs only work on hard snow, or ice. should have set up for more for sand in that snow.

no.interco wont work as well because of the width and tread design.your best bet is gateway buckshot tires,there bias ply with 15/16 tread depth and create a serated blade effect to cut trough the snow, specially if you used those spikes on them.you ever make an event out of this,i would come prove it.thanks for reading ..michael

Have they tried studded paddle tires instead of dirt tires? Studs are great on hard ice but that looks a bit loose . The roost would be amazing.

Didnt think the truck was 4x4 for a minute. Couldn't see a diff or anything up front
They should have put some paddles on the truck instead of studded dirt tires. Then he could have wheelied up the mountain.
