I feel like a better way of adapting Lolita would be by visually shifting how Dolores is seen. Like one scene is how humbert sees her, and then another part is how she actually is. That way the audience can clearly see how he doesn't view her like how she really is
This movie is probably the saddest movie I’ve ever watched. Dolores didn’t deserve that at all. And is it just me that thinks it’s annoying when people call her lolita like in edits or just in general because she isn’t Lolita. Lolita is just a persona humbert created in his mind which since the movie is from his pov it shows how he “sees” her when in all she’s just 14 year old Dolores who deserved so much better

I listen to this song every single day to cope, cause when i was 15 my teacher confessed to me and made me think thats it is okay, that tteachers can have feelings too. I was sexually assaulted by him twice, when he invited me over to talk in private after the lesson. thankgod i didnt lose my V-card. I told him to stop when he got carried away.

I cry my trauma out to this song beause i had my teacher confess and sexually assault me twice, i thought it was okay becasue he made me think that. He would tell me that its okay for teachers and adults to have feeling for you. he was 8 years older than me. I cant look at teachers from now on, thinking that it is gonna repeat and that there is a risk of any teacher falling in love with me. I would tell him multiple times that i dont feel like its right for us to have a relationship but he would "calm me down" everytime by saying that i am "Mature for my age".

People don't believe me, but I do, I do believe my truth. I didn't have a father figure growing up, so it's repulsive to think how easy he could have it to approach me, just a baby. I look at seven years olds in my neighborhood and wonder how could someone hurt me st that age.
