The amount of students who don’t have professors who can clearly explain concepts like this guy in nursing school is alarming
I read 70 pages and my brain was just all over the place. I have to supplement my reading with helpful youtube videos in order for me to understamd. And honestly, this is what really saved my butt during exams because I always go back to the pathophysio and I imagine it in my head haha.

I have dialated cardiomyopathy.i comit to my diet. Aside from that, nothing really changed in my life. I bike at least 3_4 hours a day, every day. I'm sick but I don't think and feel sick, I go about my business if I make it I beat the odds, if I don't I'll die happy doing what I love. Either, I win 🙃
I have heart problems too but I eat exactly what I want and always will
Thank you for being so much lucid when teaching 👍
This was super helpful. I’m in my last semester of nursing school and currently studying this topic. Thanks a lot for this wonderful knowledge.❤️🙏

For HOCM we can also do an alcohol septal ablation….which is performed by catheter 😊 much less invasive than a surgical procedure….and a faster recovery.

At 6:04, you teach about *narrowed pulse pressure* with 110/90 = 10. Pulse pressure would actually be 20; but still a great video. Thank you very much! Your videos help me to review and sweep out the cobwebs before NCLEX exam time!

My 53 year old best friend just died in his sleep last week and the autopsy showed that he died from heart attack caused by cardiomyopathy. He had no symptoms.

Hi, Nurse Mike; your CZcams videos are extremely helpful; however, I've noticed that you've minimized your content on CZcams. I remember in this video, we had access to your explanation of all three forms of cardiomyopathy, and now we only have access to the first one. I just think that's a little unfair given your SimpleNursing membership is expensive.

Can hypertrophic cardiomyopathy be caused by too much intense exercise over a long time? For example, running hard like Zone 4 or 5 for 20+ mins straight every other day.
thankyou!!

Cardiomegaly is an enlarged heart. Cardio=heart Mega=large

This is a good channel… but you gotta love the irony of a male nurse who uses the word “guys” about every 10 words or so, to an audience that is almost certainly 90 percent women. Sorry ladies, you lost the war.
