The wallet one is super easy. He’s obviously holding 52 wallets in his back pocket.
Yeah the trick came back to me a flood of memories at full force from my magic days.
Lol
fire comment mr butthugger
my guess is there are different lists of celebrities which one opens by various icons, gestures and stuff. each list has the needed name under each possible number.
The Force is with Alex.
I like that Wren was supposed to be depressed but can’t help be the shinning beacon of positivity that he is
I can't believe they found a clip where Wren wasn't smiling.
These guys must truly be VFX masters to have made such an effective fake.
Maybe a little too shinny 🤔 at least for me.
@@_dimitri_1242 good thing he wasn’t being “shinny” FOR you
@@_dimitri_1242 Fair. Do the pores move?
@@carrotman They put in the work that the JL team didn't put in to remove Henry Caville's mustache
Thanks for having me over guys!!! Good times!!
Wren you ok?

:O ALEX for the invisable deck does it just reflect the top card making it look like a deck
Was really happy to see your Face here 🙌🏼
you are a Wizard...
@@idyllisch1047 "The invisible deck" is actually a trick in itself.
Check out omni deck if you want to know what's up with the transparent piece of acryllic.
"I heard there was a wizard in the office" was my favorite reaction to a magician lol
Even if it's not "magic," being able to slide a glass block into someone's hand without them noticing is still insane! 😂
It's easier than you'd think
The execution part of it is insane. Even if you do know what's happening, it's no easy feat to hot swap the deck into a transparent block with the two target cards on top in front of dozens of spectators upfront.
It was the first thing he gave him, with two cards on top and it's no glas but transparent plastic or some other synthetic thing. A block of glas would be heavier than a stack of cards
And that was about the only trick that I've managed to decipher XD
@@RaiOkami he switches the deck when the guy is showing the card.
"That's not how reality works"
I think Wren's quote summaries this episode perfectly.
I love how they agree that revealing the magic behind the tricks doesn't spoil it and it gives you a greater appreciation of the cleverness involved. After following this channel I can't help but think about how a movie pulled its effects off after seeing it.
I've learned a LOT of magic tricks through the years, and can confirm: the best tricks are more amazing after leraning the method behind it.
Now you see me 1 and 2 have some decent cinematic tricks, and Zach King has a ton of short films where he uses both real slight of hand and movie magic to pull of tricks. Corridor has a video with him that was fantastic!
The best magic tricks are the ones that you know how true done but can’t see it anyway. The magic isn’t in the technique, it’s in the performance and execution.
I think it depends on the person and their philosophy
I think it's ink like care cheats use and then he hinds and reveals the card
I liked that Wren was just standing jn the corner waiting for his que as Niko & Alex chatted forcthe camera 😆

"Go act sad, Wren. "
Wren and Jordan having an existential crisis at 20:31 is my favourite moment in this lmao
Hell yeah Alex! Thanks for making my boy look good guys 🍻
Signed “blurred dude in the port-a-potty”
Even knowing how that was done there was still risk involved for the guys going under the suspended car with a release. You've really got to trust your riggers huh!
Wow! Such a great video!
Was hoping you'd be here.
Meep meep
Was coming on just to comment that they should do a collab with you! @corridorcrew
🖤🤘🔥
Bring the whole BTE squad next time!
Fun fact. I once pretended to do magic for my parents and managed to guess the card they picked. They were so surprised they kept asking me to do it again and how I did it.
Nah I just rolled snake eye on a 52 sided die and realized that my career as a magician can only go downhill from there.
lol
Same. It happened to me in school and they kept saying do it again! do it again!
Smooth little wanker :D
A classmate of mine did that in highschool. Just pure luck guessed four cards in a row, color and everything
@@FalloutUgglan I highly doubt that, that's probably in the billion percent chances if it was pure luck, your classmate definitely knew what the card was.
Learning how a magic trick is done doesn't ruin it, it makes you appreciate it in a different way.
Alex, Chris, Eric and Wes are all awesome guys and magicians. I would love to see more magic on this channel. This was a really great video.
Agreed. I’m hoping that they and spidey and shin Lim and maybe Daniel Madison all make a chanell together
I would love to see Chris on this channle 😩
As long as they keep their "Big Trick Energy" away from this channel I'm down.
@@tholzak haha you didn’t like it?
Tha would be insane!
Georges Méliès was a magician who became a film maker, I love his stuff.
One of my favourite show is Penn and Teller : Fool Us.
I love this episode even before I started watching it
Fool Us is absolutely fantastic. I cannot watch too many episodes of it back to back because I am too blown away and start to zone out, which is good so I never run out of episodes :)
Tom Savini the most Legendary Horror FX maker also started as a Magician and he said the movies he did Practical effects for like Friday The 13th, countless George A Romero movies, The Prowler, etc. He went about in the same way and treated it as a magic show, which I think is part of the fun of Gore in movies.
14:20 the look on Jordan's face like "what is this witchcraft” 😂😂😂
Always baffled on how they come up with good shit like this. Props to the magicians in this world for being creative
19:53 I feel so accomplished that I think I figured this one out.
He forced Matt’s selection and had that corner in the card from before. He then just had to constantly rip the corner and boom the trick.
As soon as I saw that Alex was the guest I was hoping that you'd react to the cold opens from Big Trick Energy, since they're by far the most impressive part of the show. It was great to see one in this episode, but since they're all so amazing I'd love for you to react to several more of them in the future!
I'd also love to see more magicians on the channel in general (or more of Alex, since he was a great pick), since there's so much overlap between magic and film and 20 minutes isn't anywhere near enough time to cover things!
Chris Ramsay recently went over all of them on his channel and they're all so clever
Niko's deductive reasoning based on his knowledge of how _stunt coordination_ works was kind of a beautiful thing to witness. I came to a similar conclusion based on frame-by-framing the footage a dozen times, but he did it sitting on the couch after probably a handful of rewatches. Good job, bud!
Shows how many dimensions there is to understanding filming. I was surprised how he got that the first try!
Knowing this, the trick would work even better with a jiggling hand held camera. Or making it seem it's hand held. So it doesn't seem like the camera can hit a specific mark/perspective.
@@polishedpebble4111 Would also make a jump cut seem less likely which feels important to do when filming a trick without a live audience.
I like to think Niko secretly knew how every trick was done but didn't want to spoil it for everyone lol
Come on, that one was easy. I knew they went out the back before the clip was over!
This is crazy I literally was just going on corridor crew's channel and I saw a video from 20 seconds ago and clicked right away. I also love magic, so this is a win win. Keep doing what you do.
duuude that's insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean what are the odds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wren's reaction to magic is so wholesome and genuine, I love it. :D
Jordan's face when he flipped the picture over. She was fully stunned lol
The thing I love the most about magic is that even if you know how it's done, if it's done well then it will still fool you.
Even if doesn't fool you I love the technique and tricks behind it anyway.
I would love seeing your reactions to the rest of the big stunts from Big Trick Energy. There were some absolutely amazing ones I’d love to see y’all’s thoughts on
the first thing that came to mind is that Marvel could hire this guy to play the Gambit in a X-men movie. this guy is like the real version of Gambit, he even looks kinda like him
🥹
Damn! You’re right! Or in a Corridor fx video using Gambit before the MCU…
🤣 no
he kinda looks like zemo too
@@blowc1612 Yes 🤓
"my fitbit says I'm working out right now" is a pretty good compliment 😆
I still think this episode somehow stands out in a super positive way. It's so well edited, the music/sound design, the cuts to the discussions about vfx vs. magic tricks and the whole shabang.
Love it. Thank you.
It just goes to prove everyone has their own talents. As a magician for over 20 years, his tricks were all basic to me but their reactions to them is similar to all my reactions to their visual effect explanations.
Really cool video blending 2 of my interests.
Wren's reactions to magic never gets old.
The structure to this video was great, would love to see more like it
I love these magic episodes. Please do more!
Been a while since we had one of these, great to see these videos back
I remember when Captain Disillusion covered America's Got Talent using visual effects to enhance magic tricks - making them even more insane!
Fun fact: The coin matrix you saw on AGT which Captian Disillusion „proved“ to be fake is being sold by Will Tsai and in the right conditions can be performed live just as you saw it on tv.
Still the version that aired on AGT is edited but I think it’s just because the lighting wasn‘t optimal
For the angles they were showing in TV, they had to edit down the blackness to hide it. They really just need to record from the audiences point of view only, so they wouldn't have to eidt things.
Ha, I remember that.
Captain Disillusion is fantastic, easily my all-time favorite CZcamsr.

19:23 Jordan asking if he felt anything 😂😂 so cute
Alex is such a beast!! So glad to see you guys together
Actually his entire performance is very obvious, he needs to practice, I explained all of the tricks in my comment.
@@jacekwodecki3530 I do magic for long enough to know what he is doing, and I dont have to brag about it in the comments.
Alex Boyer is a Top Tier magician who has tons of better material than the card tricks you see in this Video. (These are mostly pretty well known tricks that are „easy“ to do and have a nice impact)
@@winterfeld2458 You missed the point. I am not bragging. Illusion is based on the fact that the audience does not know what is going on, and I totally understand and support that premise. It is like with every specialization, for example data analysis. If I can infer something from the raw data and you can't, it is logical that I will earn money for doing that and you will not. However, if a random dude can come in and explain all the methods, it means that it is not that "specialized" (I don't want to use the word "difficult", manually magic is very difficult, but if you know how it is done, the effect is gone). Another thing: if you do magic and you know what he is doing it is not impressive. I have never done a single trick in my life, and I know what he is doing. This is my message.
@@jacekwodecki3530 Mind copy and pasting your comment with your explanations here?
@@shade0636 Ok, here we go: First trick - the force, basic mechanics in card magic, the choice was forced. He made Wren see this card. Second trick with king of clubs - also force, the same principle, the particular card was chosen on purpose. All of the people are not faking, it is not staged, the point is that he does it in a way that there is only one option, there are several ways to achieve this. Third trick with three of clubs - mechanics. He put the card in position ahead of time when he controlled the cards. Fourth trick with vanishing cards - slight of hand. There are ways to interact with people so that they don't realize. He switched the cards with the block when their hands were in contact. Apollo Robbins uses similar techniques. Next trick, Jordan + Jordan - when he gave them the card between their hands he used second deal, he picked second card from the deck and not the first, because 9 was second and J was first, simple card mechanic effect. Next trick with ace of spades - there are two ways to do it. 1: mechanical deck, presented many times on Penn and Teller show. 2: selection was forced and then deliberate deck stacking and magnets. Celebrity trick - force. I don't know exactly how magicians achieve the force in prediction tricks, it is a psychological effect, but Penn Gillette explained many times that it is a force. Another explanation: it is a random signature because no one knows the signature of Mr.Beast. Next trick: force of selection and special card manufactured ahead of time. There is a way to learn how to tear a card perfectly so it matches, it was demonstrated multiple times on Penn and Teller show.
It is incredible how big Corridor has gotten since the last time they had a magician in the office.
That was amazing! More please!
Alex is amazing! So happy you guys got him to share your time and highlighted him this way. We need more talented magicians in our lives!
Even though I may know how a trick is done, I will almost always focus on presentation and skill by the performer/s. It's all an endorphin hit and I love it. Great job everyone. 😊
That was some of the best card tricks I have seen in a long time.
I love the old magic video, so seeing this is just awesome!!! Great video corridor!
One of my favourite corridor videos. Thank you guys for this masterpiece 🙏🙏

Smart Jordan looking totally stunned when those tricks happened right in front of her face. Priceless.
There's always so much more slight of hand than people realize, and even then, it's still a mystery how Alex accomplishes his task. Incredible talent.
I love this shit. I mean there are a lot of basic things that are incorporated into a million illusions, so you would think you could piece it together. But i was at a total loss most of the time here. Alex is super creative with his card tricks and i love it
never saw this sequel coming!
"My FitBit says I'm working out right now..." is the best reaction to a magic trick I've ever heard XD
WOW THAT WAS SUCH A GOOD VIDEO!
Such a great was to start a sunday morning! Thank you guys a LOT!
Alex is awesome and Austin seems like a cool guy lol. Definitely has the right energy for Corridor.
I realize why, despite practicing magic all through high school, I still love seeing a professional street magician. I _know_ how the tricks work. But seeing them done so well that my brain, despite knowing better, _still_ thinks the laws of physics were just violated by how well-done these tricks are... it's just the coolest.
This is why I love magic. I’m not a magician, but I love learning how these things are done and-boy-is it fun seeing people enjoying the good stuff. The wonder and amazement in the crew is my favorite part.
Jordan's reactions are perfect!!

Combining the psychology of illusion with VFX has always been an amazing way to blow audiences away.

Wow!!! This is exactly what magic is all about and why I’m a big fan of it. Alex Boyer an amazing magician and an amazing friend. So blessed 🙏🏽❤️
It's always more impressive knowing how they actually did it. Knowing that he "simply" forces a card to the top while shuffling is the amazing part. Remember, simple is not synonymous with easy.

Awesome to see Alex on here!! He’s a great guy and their show Big Trick Energy is a great watch!!!
I use to do magic, or sleight of hand tricks, about ten years ago. All of these tricks are very old. Kind of updated, but still fundamentally the same. I knew around 100 sleight of hand tricks that I would perform over five hours. Sometimes people would think I was possessed; especially those who were Christians. I could turn entire decks into the card you selected, and not by random, by your choice. I could do flourishes and I loved doing prop magic too, like impossible balance tricks, vanishing objects, etc. My favorites were card tricks though because it's limitless.
Why not revive the old hobby or hell even make videos
@@nnt7311 I just lost interest in it. I've thought about rekindling that skill, but we'll see.
How do you switch the whole deck to any card you’d like? You got a bunch of decks of each card? Crazy stuff
LOL. I have never seen a single fellow Christian think any sleight of hand magician is “possessed”. LOL. Just bc Christianity has been around thousands of years doesn’t mean it’s follows are antiquated simpletons.
Well......unless the magician is David Copperfield in the 90’s. LOL😊
