These Self-depreciating comments grant you some "likes" but in your consciousness it reinforces your own insecurities and keeps you away from your full potential. Just take note. Jokes are fun, but all of them hide a certain degree of truth
Thanks for sharing this one Tyler... The kid has a hot hand and its always incredible to see talent like that at any age. It would be cool to see you break down his solo and talk about what's going on - chord changes, modes, techniques, scale degrees of emphasis, etc.
The kid is actually so good. I liked Abigail better but this guy seemed to be more complete in terms of technique and mastery of the instrument. Cant believe he's that young and already so good. Not my kind of music, but props to him
samme79 I agree it's so hard to judge guitarists because everyone has their own style and feel so what they love to play and their wierd style might not appeal to the judges as something more generic. All these contestants were amazing though any if them deserved to win
I agree fully, it's also a lot harder to judge music that isn't your taste, and I can vouch for that. Usually this sort of playing just gives me an earache, and while it does I can really appreciate the talent and there's a whole lot of skill involved with this kid. He could really go somewhere one day and I hope he does. Really clean playing, confidence and just overall a good performance, especially live.
He just learned guitar at young age. I was listening metal music almost all my life and just realized at age 22 that I want to try playing on electric guitar, but now I have job and after job I don't have a lot of time not to mention the willingness to train on guitar. To learn anything new on electric guitar needs a lot of time :/
@@WarframeCrunch You can definitely learn to play an instrument at a later age. Don't think that this kid had an advantage over you because he is young, he had to work extremely hard to get so good. It all starts with the will to learn, there are always many reasons to give up or not try. Thats no different for kids.

Man I love your style. You got that humor that isn't pushed and you're sick on the guitar. Im self taught and seem to have hit a block. I need some help getting to the next step of learning.
So happy for him but so jealous I wish I could play that good when I was his age let alone now just wonderful brilliant playing I want to add Tyler yeah this is good this video of glad you did this
Hey Tyler! Love the content. I’m a student of JTrep and Tomo! I’m very glad I’m able to play with them, and also very greatful to have played with the runner up Abby, the girl who played against Hunter. Thanks for the awesome videos!
Music is Win, would be nice to see some videos of you playing live. It's great to see all these maestros making videos in the convenience of sitting in their cozy room with lots of edits, effects etc. commenting about others, yet there's no complete video of their originals or any live shows. Why's that?
I'm in my 30s already and I'm just an intermediate player. Literally my only advise to this kid is to stay away from drugs and alcohol and practice humbleness. You can be a great player but if you have a bad attitude it's all ruined.
Awesome solo strategy. This kid has a great sens of musicality! He is super melodic when he obviously can play fast. The mixing of the various influences is smooth.
Nah, don't do that. Just realise that somewhere out there, there's a 15 year old that's better than that kid, a 12 year old who's better than the 15 year old, and a 10 year old who's better than both of them. Guitar playing shouldn't be a competitive sport, IMO.
Just threw every guitar and piece of gear I own out the window! As to your ending comment, I would absolutely like to see young talent and or up and coming musicians more.

@@magnuslikestanks6044 I disagree. Some people have a certain talent for melodies, other just have better fine motoric skills which helps alot. But then again, practice beats talent almost everytime
@Mal Reynolds I agree but that is why you NEVER tell yourself you can't do it because if you tell yourself that, then you cant. If you suck and it's been thirty years, the only thing holding you back is your mindset. But if your a guitarist you too keep going.
@Mal Reynolds It is true not everyone can be a virtuoso and also true that talent takes some people further in a shorter time, but a high degree of talent without extreme disciplined drive will not create a better end result at 30 years, than extreme disciplined drive with not very much talent. Directed effective practice WILL make you good - maybe not world class, but you certainly won't suck by the standards of most people, after 30 years. You just need to figure out how to analyze your skills continuously, and be able to figure out how to address your weak points - both as pertains to your musicality and to any physiological or mental obstacles. Talent is one part of the equation but discipline and creativity and the right mindset are more important. Unless you expect to be as good as the best virtuosos of course. That may not happen - but you won't know for sure until you have stuck to a several hours per day directed practice routine for a year or more, and compare yourself to last year. The best virtuosos all have had periods of 10-12 hours of effective practice every day for extended periods at some point of their life.
@@alonradvan5648 That's awesome. It's good that you think so because you can make the best out of all of this and really go big. And that's what I'm going to do.
To my ear his bends and vibrato were spot on 🤔 if I had any advice for him it would be to put out as much material in as many avenues as possible, dont worry about big shiny contracts just get out there and work to build a situation where he is the CEO of all of his endeavors, a big mistake most musicians make is to not prioritize being prolific, that is the career killer in this day and age, people have short attention spans, dont waste time dealing with big labels who will contract your career to death just get out there with a solid team you can trust and start taking shit over😀🤘 he will probably never see this comment but I'm just throwing this out there either way lol
Good review and insight into why, you your eyes he was number 1. Perhaps consider getting him on music is win for an interview, background, inspiration, influences, his goals. Be good to learn about the player.
