i'm listening to this at work the whole day, and it feels like being stranded on a slowly waving sea, no horizon, no past, no future, just the emptiness and loneliness in a "being complete" way.
I remember how I felt playing this game. This was one of the most depressing games I ever played. I had no prior knowledge on French history, not a lick of it so this game was an intro for me. The depiction of the French Revolution was so alien yet mesmerizing to me. The atmosphere and soundtrack, the grittiness, the filthy disgusting streets and alleys and the lack of human dignity or love for one another. It showed me what the French went through, just a mere glimpse. I was so appalled that people lived like this also I was 14/15 at the time so it was a bit to take in. It all felt so real, so personal…I can never forget my experience with this game. It’s like a moment frozen in time.
I wish this game had a different story. Of Arno chasing Shay. I loved this game but I hated the love story at its center. I wanted a revenge story similar to that of Ezio's, that's the vibe this music gives me as well, not that of an Assassin in love, but an Assassin with vengeance in his heart. What an opportunity they missed
I ❤️ this music as much as the main theme to game too it's simply brilliant just like past Assassin Creed games have always produced such masterpieces of music this kinda reminds me of a mix between abstergo industries Ost in A.C revelations and the multiplayer start menu from A.C3
this soundtrack gives me a feeling of revenge, treason, disappointment, hatred, sadness but in the same time love, brotherhood, secrets, epic moments, good moments. the feeling of waking up in the night while it's raining and cold, the feeling of staying up all night thinking about your life and what's your mission in planet earth thinking about what comes after death, thinking that death is inevitable, thinking about how death is just a forever sleep, thinking about enjoying life, about your ancestors, the feeling of doing something badass the feeling of how you would've been if you had super powers, the feeling when you are thinking about that person you love... this soundtrack just brings me so much mixed feelings it hits different, i'm about to redownload this masterpiece and play it again ! thanks for sharing this dude
Reading your comment just gave me a mini existential crisis & hopeful life affirmation all at the same time lol. The power of excellent music such as this one, eh? You're very welcome dude. You've inspired me to do my own replay soon. I somehow never completed the story when I first got it, only up to around sequence 9. I think my usual co-op crew stopped playing & I got busy with other games & it just accidentally fell to the side. Definitely time to give it the full playthrough it deserves.
I remember in 6th grade my parents bought me this game as an Xbox one bundle. Game drew me in immediately and this song still gives me goosebumps to this day. Unity also inspired me to go into parkour
Hell yeah dude. AC got me into parkour too. 2012/2013 is when I first started, around when devinsupertramp's AC Parkour in Real Life videos were being released.
This brings me back to the 2019 days when i played ac unity for the first time on pc (i played it on ps4 back in 2017 but never got to finish the game)
Got to say... I still don't understand the ratio of likes to dislikes here. UST videos are about as straightforward as they come. It's music and just music. Only issue I can maybe see is I didn't make any custom background and just recorded the game menu, but I can bet people only come to this video for the sound and not the visuals lol
This music is so depressive so as atmosphere of Paris actually of that time.It is not colorful foggy and grey sometimes and fits perfect with this music.
I get a feeling of utter despair; "the road from here is long to get back to where we were...and although things aren't as bad now, things will definitely never be the same." I don't know, maybe if it sounds sad to some people then maybe that says something about themselves.
Honestly wished this track had a actual name so i could listen to it on spotify, but man im glad you found it, AC unity has a way of twisting music around the menu, its weird how most songs will show up when you pause it changes im not sure what triggers it to change at times through map, pause menu, or so on but this is by far the most listened to for me, i remember just scrolling on the map listening to this seeing paris expand as i do all the sync towers, i love acu and i also enjoy the fact people lool back on this game, whoever made this track i wanna listen to more of it lol
I loved this game, went as far as replaying it on PC last year and i've never ever done that with an AC game, not even the the notable GOAT's in 2 and Black flag
Nostalgia, awe, peacefulness? I feel all those things from this track and more. That's the power of great music, man. Sometimes the feeling is indescribable.
Not currently haha I don't even know if I could. Playstation only records up to 15 minutes (hence the video length) and I'm not sure if Sharefactory even allows for videos longer than 15 minutes to be made.

As far as I know, it's still unreleased and not on any of the OST volumes on spotify. Though admittedly, I haven't through the whole thing. I'd love to be proven wrong, an official play source from anywhere would be sick.
Been wondering that myself all these years. Maybe people think it's supposed to be a walkthrough for an actual Helix mission? Idk, people are weird lol
As far as anyone knows, there's no official name because it was never included on the official soundtrack releases. Before I uploaded this, I remember looking trying to find a name too, I only found a couple other fan uploads calling it "Helix 3" so that's what I called it as well. Though I haven't done any additional research since I uploaded this, so 7 years. Maybe someone found something more but I don't know.
I honestly hated the combat in this game, but hell did I enjoy the pause menu track. This one has that perfect element of mystery and a time traveler feel to it.
Honestly Unity has the best sword combat i've seen till now, the thrusts does instant kill and slashes incapacitate, very tough combat will force you to act more like a true assassin avoiding combat
@@escobar12levi well now that I returned to the game thanks to Ubi's giveaway, it felt better, if not a bit too easy, simply by spamming perfect parries and heavy attacks, not to mention how quickly the combat gets easy once you upgrade everything to Tier 5 or Legendary. Even the "hard" enemies can be killed in one hit if you have any tier 5 or legendary melee weapon and legendary melee buffing bracers.
Lool good spot. I think I still have a bunch still sitting there to this day. When I go back to finish this game like it deserves, I'll spend them just for you.

This track touches my soul, it makes me remember when I was younger playing this game, back when my life was good
I have the same feelings.. brilliant game
who's listening this masterpiece in 2022?
The music that was on my mind when I travelled to Paris last to last year❤️
This music should be in pause menu in AC2 or AC Brotherhood. Classic sounds for classic games...

Arno chasing Shay wouldn't make sense, Shay would be 80, also, Arno had no lead and Shay had Master Templar children and grandchildren
