I follow quite a few Medical studyTubers from UK and it seems like they don't have as much practical classes and exams as compared to courses in other countries. As in most of the coursework revolves around quizes and exams. Is this correct?
From my own experience so far we have mostly been assessed through presentations, reports, quizzes and multiple choice exams. However, it differs for every uni. University of Leeds I believe is the least examined medical course in the UK, however, it is a research uni and so we are expected to produce more research reports. I have friends in Italy who study medicine and they do more 'science' exams e.g. a chem, bio, physics etc. paper whereas we only do medical based papers. It's very individual to the university! I hope that helps.

Hi! What would you recommend I revise in the summer before medical school? Mainly asking about chemistry do I need to know all or organic and physical etc.
Hey you definitely don’t need to revise before med school! You won’t need any organic or physical chem from my experience. It may be different for a more traditional style of teaching but at leeds you definitely don’t. Just enjoy the time off to relax!

Every Med student I see seems to have a MacBook. Are they really worth the investment?
A lot do use macbooks but I've also seen a lot of people using laptops with touch screens and pens so they can use them as both an ipad and laptop. There's also students with different branded laptops but it is mostly macbooks. I wouldn't really say it matters as long as it's reliable
@@LotteStoll I invested in an ipad but apparently you cant get anki on there so now I'm probably gonna have to save up for a macbook or something similar 😭
@@beatrixhaigh1757 yes unfortunately anki on the ipad only works if you use anki on a laptop. there's plenty of other apps that are good as well though that are really good on the ipad
