Great play by Royal. And Trinity also.
One deficient area for Royal is the kicking. Not only place kicking but kicking for distance and territory, kicking for touch also looked very ordinary, to say the least.
Otherwise Royal looked really good, pick and drives, ruck and mauls looked superb. Tackling was very good too, particularly at the fringes. Yes, there were some rough play but paid the price for that with plenty of yellow cards, where Trinity had ample opportunity of making them pay heavily, which they didn't do to their full advantage.
Congrats Royal! Tremendous work. God luck with league championship! Not against the team from Kandy.
Royal were very lucky though (watch 13.32 of this video) as last try does not count as referee ignored a big late tackle, should have been a yellow card and Trinity young place kicker would have converted the penalty from that spot and won the Bradby for Trinity. There is no reason for referee to ignore that.
But on the flip side Trinity backs made too many silly mistakes in both legs. Too many handling errors by backs. Too many missed tackles by backs. Kicking the ball to the hands of the Royal winger too many times. For those reasons Royal were the better team on the day though Trinity forwards were outstanding.
That's the thing when there is too many mistakes the reffs or anyone would get fed up. The ref had enough of it & ended the game early as well. 🤣

There was a late tackle before nabeel yahya collected the loose ball and scored. A penalty against royal. Referee or linesman did not note it. TMO should be used for all tries scored especially in important matches like this. If TMO was not used Trinity's penalty try also would have not been awarded
You can’t just come up here & cry about it. Tc obviously didn’t work hard for the Bradby shield, first they chickened out on Zahira (should have TMO that 😂) that lie/fake move made them lose their touch & now to be known as Trinity chickens & not lions. 🐔 and the other is that tc made too many mistakes on the field. Even the refs were fed up & ended the game sooner than usual. We were also upset because RC was just getting warmed up. Sigh!
Anyways the shield is back at home, where it actually belongs and with the team that played their hearts out. So don’t worry about it. Just let it go.
Trinity is pretty much a tier 2 rugby team that people shouldn’t bother with. Royal should honestly play the bradby with some other school
