Oathsworn Painting Series - Ep 1 - The Witch

This is the first episode in the 'Oathsworn' board game painting series - The Witch. She's one of the characters that you can play as in this boss battler adventure game from Shadowborne Games.
The Plastic Canvas is a miniature painting channel focused at beginner painters, or anyone that likes watching minis being painted, from start to finish. I'm using this to document my progression in the hobby and I hope that with what I share about what I'm learning, I can help you make some good early steps in your time in the hobby too.

This came out great. I love that you use mostly Reaper paints, cause I think they’re fantastic, but are just never talked about compared to other brands.
Don’t own Oathsworn yet, but when I do, I’m stealing this template, if that’s okay ;)

Yeah I love Reaper paints. I like the consistency straight out of the bottle more than the others. And they just dry in a really predictable way that makes them easy to paint with. Reaper definitely needs more love!
And you can absolutely copy how I've painted her. That's part of why I put these videos up!

Hey Matthew, fantastic job as always. At the moment I'm painting figures from Mythic Battles Ragnarok board game. I hope you can eventually get your hands on that game because the miniatures are incredibly detailed and they're Viking themed ! I'd love to see what you could do with them. 👍

I just had a look at those minis. They look awesome. Would be heaps of fun to paint. Can't buy every game unfortunately but I'll keep an eye out for it. Have you played it yet? Is it good?

To be honest i only backed the game on kickstarter for the minis included in it. I had contacted the games developers and inquired if it was possible to just purchase the games core minis alo g with the stretch goals minis without the game components themselves and was told that was not possible.​@@theplasticcanvas
