What’s the Legend (2015) movie about?
From Academy Award winner Brian Helgeland (L.A. Confidential, Mystic River) comes the true story of the rise and fall of London’s most notorious gangsters, Reggie and Ron Kray, both portrayed by Tom Hardy in an amazing double performance. Reggie is suave, charming and volatile. Ronnie is his unstable twin brother. Using violence to get what they want, the siblings orchestrate robberies and murders while running nightclubs and protection rackets.
Legend is a classic crime thriller taking us into the secret history of the 1960s and the extraordinary events that secured the infamy of the Kray twins.

i think he was referring to; that it's far easier to wipe some blood off the wall than to launder a long wool sheepskin rug.
👉😉👉 true fact.
The scary part is that this murder scene appears toned down. Jack was actually stabbed multiple times in the face also. Reggie must have been in sheer rage!
It was toned down a lot. Jack the hat was stabbed so much his liver came out and was flushed down the toilet afterwards. It was a pure rage induced killing that only happened because the gun he was going to shoot him with jammed and the only thing that was close to him was a pairing knife.
McVitie also tried, according to stories, to headfirst his way out the window. Plus someone was said to have shouted "die like a man, Jack" as he was dragged back in.
@@theunderdog2121 Didn't know that bit about his insides, but ta anyway
@@theunderdog2121 I always thought the plot about Francis was fictional so what pissed him off so much?
@@OliverLee789 In 1967 Ronnie Kray paid McVitie £500 in advance to kill ex-friend and business partner Leslie Payne, promising he would give another £500 when the job was finished, amid fears that Payne was about to inform the police of his criminal activities. McVitie and a friend, Billy Exley, set off to shoot Payne, but were unsuccessful. Exley, the driver, suffered from heart trouble and McVitie was now heavily dependent on drugs. Exley started to lose his nerve when McVitie produced a handgun. Arriving at Payne's home, McVitie hammered loudly on the front door, which luckily for Payne was opened by his wife. "He's not in," she said. "That's all right," said McVitie and he and Exley left. Instead of repaying the money McVitie kept it. Thats the reason.
What I love about this scene is that Ron - a paranoid schizophrenic - observes the scene and treats Reggie like he's the one who's insane, because at least Ron isn't completely in control of his violent outbursts.
I kinda agree but I think it is common knowledge that BOTH off them were nuts. Just Ronnie was very obviously nuts
I see it completely differently. Ron is standing there completely careless and is the only person in the room who's just looking and not freaking out or even being surprised or anything. He just asked him why would you do that, cause it wasn't necessary perhaps.
Either way it’s funny and a good way to end a scene of horrifying violence.
Ron goaded Reggie in this scene, he told him to shoot Jack
@@rickysprangle4523 yea he def supported committing the act i think he was genuinely curious as to why. Regardless of who the target was, ronnie would have supported the violence. note how the knife is put into his front pocket as a ‘sheath.’

Clearly you've never been pushed beyond the point you're capable of being pushed...lucky you......but one person's tolerance threshold is not the same as another. When you are already slightly psychotic, mourning the death of your partner (or any loved one) and then someone catches you at the wrong moment and takes the piss......I would challenge anyone to not snap and lose their shit.
I liked the idiot who-after witnessing that rage-filled stabbing-still dares to confront and challenge Reggie on the sidewalk. He was lucky to only receive a punch in the gut.
Rest assured, that this kind of violent attitude, be it in the movies or in reality in the violent-ridden society which surroundes so many of us today, ultimately spells the end of humanity as a whole.
@@dagarildandersen8939: this is exactly how humanity has been from the beginning, for the past several hundred thousand years-and violence is part of our deep inheritance from our contemplative, intelligent, horrifically violent primate ancestors. We are devastating the life-carrying capacity of the only planet we have, and a hellish nightmare of consequences is in our rapidly-approaching future.
@@Gilliganfrog Damn dude, this is almoust exactly my own thoughts on the matter of the furless monke (or furless ape if you will) with a thin, thin outer layer of civilization, desperately trying to cover up the fact that we are no more than an animal with self delusion. A horrible animal at that, since we are alsp trying to pretend that we are something else by inventing a lot of rules that we all forget the same second our instincts take over. 🙄
that guy was his friend and right hand man who helped him run his crime business and keep everyone in line. Everytime the brothers would do something stupid, he would lecture them, the only reason Reggie (the guy who stabbed) hit him this time was because Reggies wife committed suicide and Reggie became mentally unwell and depressed.

Tom hardy is one of the best for a reason
In reality Kray stabbed him so many times at the party his organs spilled out of his abdomen on the party floor.
Thats fucking horrible
Also, the man got stabbed multiple times in the face.
0:08 the way how he just takes off his hat 🤣🤣
Talking like that to a guy who went berserk kiling a guy was dumb
I just watched him stab a man multiple times to death. You know what? This shot to the gut isn't so bad.
I'm not sure what it is about this scene. Whether it's the sound effects or what not. But I wince at every swing of the knife. Can practically feel it stabbing him.
I always find it amusing when Ronnie just casually grins at Reggie and says “why would you do that?” After watching him viciously kills that guy & not even step in to try stop him 😂😂😂😂
When he takes off his hat. That is paramount. Plus the fact hardy plays both brothers is also cool
It's sort of like the kiss of death. Allow me to take your hat off. Its emasculating. Also it speaks to the respect behind talking off your hat for the dead.
I think Tom should have won multiple awards for these performances , no pun intended , Brilliant

This scene is what makes this movie so memorable. Even though it's a great movie, I probably would've forgotten all about it otherwise by now.
Tom Hardy and the girls and boys ALL played classic roles in this movie.......I have it on DVD and always find something new each time I watch it............well done...........4 the upload........h6..................uk
What I like about this scene is that the seeminly level-headed of the two brothers (at least compared to his paranoid schizophrenic brother) is the one who loses control and shows the audience that perhaps he is the more 'batshit crazy insane violent' one.
Yeah Reggie turned into RON and when RON said why u do that he turned into REGGIE
Tom Hardy always delivers. I loved the movie itself but Tom brought so much more to it. Just an amazing actor all around.
I’m glad they censored “fucking” throughout the scene. The violent and bloody stabbing to death is nothing in comparison.
That’s the most realistic stabbing I’ve seen in any movie or show.

I don't know if it went down exactly as portrayed here, but the film definitely depicts McVitie as a man who had more balls than brains.
This scene really shows that out of the two. Reggie was far more psycho than Ron.
No, he really wasn't. Ronnie was a paranoid schizophrenic and a complete psychopath. He took pleasure in hurting people.
Reggie angry for reason, Ron angry for no reason
@@doncarlo9345 I saw the last interview Reggie Kray did from his hospital bed before he died.
