Frida's voice is easily the best voice I've ever heard and Agnetha is crystal clear perfection. When those voices come together, however, I have no words to describe, there are no adjectives. It's simply out of this world and they did it again on Voyage!
To produce this singing while chewing gum, you know you go it. Anna Frid chewing her gum and STILL nailing those beautiful vocals! Take notes, newbies! This is true professionalism at its best.
Hello @Lucas Paiva - Not sure if you are aware, but this video edit is from my channel, and the credit at the end was removed. Even though I am neither owner of ABBA's music, I did put some time into editing this video mix myself. Would you mind doing your own version of it? Thank you.
According to what I read in an article, Both girls harmonize in "Dancing Queen" with such excellence that each one gives one more tone in its most uncomfortable part to match the other Frida goes higher in the treble to catch up with Agnetha, as much as Agnetha goes lower in the bass to match Frida Björn and Benny convinced them to give one tone more, and the girls did their best and most perfect vocal and choral work at ABBA
As Frida's dancing quenn vocals stand out both in the studio version and in the live shows this is ABBA's secret to have two of the greatest singers of all time
Seeing how they record face to face and the positioning of the mics is fascinating. Their harmony is always fantastic, but their unison is absolutely perfect and wonderfully magical. Especially for not being related. Creating that unique third voice. Thank you for posting this.

Frida recorded the vocals while chewing bubble gum? What? You can do that? Crazy! Seems like winning an Olympic sprint with ankle weights or while wearing a coat or something!
What a totally awesome video. What a treat to listen to this version. What a gem! Exquisite: 100%...OMG...♡♡♡♡ UFFF... They never kept that first verse did they?
Sorry, but i just discover there, than the voices of Frida and Agnetha are best than all i hear now with the contest to sing the most higher. Agnetha have got one of the best voice of history.
@@LucasPaivaVEVO então!!! Aquela música Tiger, no final, ela solta um agudo maravilhoso também 😍 Bem que você podia fazer um vídeo assim só das vozes com essa música ❤
Sorry to be a downer but pitch correction already existed in the 40s by tweaking tape speeds (stuff like the Chipmunks) and digital vocal tuning has existed since the 70s
By the late 70s, engineers were fixing parts using the Eventide Harmonizer. The girls of ABBA sang regularly - they were seasoned, professional singers - so the engineers might not have used it. Their vocals (and instruments) were double- or triple-tracked a lot which gave them that big fat sound, so again *probably* wouldn't have been pitch corrected, as slightly out of tune vocals give a thicker sound when combined. Just my 2c, as a musician.
I know nothing about music but why do their voices work so well together? Are they always sing certain amount of notes apart to create a specific Harmony? What is the magic that they have?
They are great singers ofc but you can learn to harmonize with some music theory. The song is based off of some 'key' which is A major in this case. In a key, there are a sequence of notes that sound good together based on a pattern, which are A B C# D E F# G#. There are chords that are constructed off of this scale, like A major and D major which are repeated in the beginning of the chorus in this song. To "harmonize" over these chords, if one person was singing the note A(1st note in the scale), you could sing the note C#(3rd note in the scale) and it would sound "good" to our ears.
@@firstnamelastname4503 thanks for that explanation! Still, I feel there is much more to their magic, it seems they figured out how to write melodies that are very addictive as well. The way it builds, the chorus, some peoples melodies are just blah, but ABBA melodies hook you in right away.
Mix of Fridas lower strong and smooth voice with Agnetha’s sharp flowy voice makes that Glossy blend in the Bridge, Bjorn said it’s something about Agnetha lowering her voice whilst frida struggles to get up at the same time is the secret recipe. Watch the Olivia newton john Performance and you can really tell the difference in their voices
Their voices are just perfection
agree magic never to be duplicated
and beautiful girls too especially Agnetha sorry shes my favorite
A singularity, irreproducible
0% autotune 100% talent
Las voces están arregladas! Escuchalas en vivo ! Hay varios audios con sus voces reales
OMFG the Agneta's voice in the 3:34 😮 amaizing, like a dolphin
Stun o.O
Dolphin?
Yes. Crazy how she can go higher!!
They must so fuсking tired
Fuck yeah! 💚
Both these ladies knew how to harmonize so well --- it was magic
Frida's voice is easily the best voice I've ever heard and Agnetha is crystal clear perfection.

It's simply out of this world and they did it again on Voyage!
Did you know that Frida did a solo in 1982? Search for : Frida - I know there is something going on
the harmonising is so clean and elegant
Wish that i can turn back the time and dance along . Lovely nostalgia moment
That hard eee note 'scene' and ' Queen' in full voice on a closed vowel with that level of vibrato is just astonishingly impressive.
That sustained synchronized vibrato at the end!
3:59
That note let alone sustained with that length and vibrato is literally so difficult to do for us mere mortals, these girls are just insane talented.
It's in a studio. Effects in voice.
The magic of Agnetha's and Frida's voices and Benny's and Bjorn's songwriting, arrangement and production.
3:31 Just noticed the high pitched "yaaahh!!" over the top of the harmony on "oh yeah".
Heard this hundreds of times never noticed it.
It's still there in the mix but it's cut up, just that single note.
Seventies coffee cups, chewing gum while killing it....badasses
If you landed on this video you probably have good taste in music
Magic. Simply put. The harmonies these ladies produce, is closest to what angels sound like.
agree
Agneta with her A5 note in "Oh Yeaaaaaah" at the end, wow.... She sings it withoud head voice, amazing!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS RAW VERSION. Wish I could hear the whole ABBA discography with live vocals.
It's back. That moment when the biggest pop group in history records the biggest pop song in history.
Love Frida’s ahh-ahh-ahhs throughout this whole thing!
Some.soothing voice...
i love frida so much i wish i want to be her Mother

Agnetha is gorgeous and Frida is majestic
They’re voices are so smooth…
Till now... No voice could give me this much goosebumps like these ladies gave me
I love the backing vocals , the girls made it sound so good with all the different tones of their voices .
Otherworldly!

AGNETHA'S DISTINCT HIGH NOTE AT 3:35
Yeah at about 3 min 33 sec.. Agnetta hits some really high note not on studio recording. AMAZIN!!
It is in the studio recording. It is just very low in the final mix
Yes, the note is definitely there. Listen carefully. It’s just buried in the final mix!

As the first day i heard this marvelous gem . I cannot help crying just like Frida. Long live ABBA and now that they are back!
Lovely insight into the evolution of that vocal. Just wow
The girls harmonised naturally. They didn’t use any smoothing or auto-tune. Unbelievable

Tenho essa mesma opinião. Pena que na época a mídia dava mais destaque a Agneta. Se der uma olhada nos shows a câmera focava mais em Agneta que Frida.
Agnetha was the voice of Abba
Agnetha is amazing
That A5 note...
