    We bought a Fiat E-Ducato in September 2021 to convert to a fully electric campervan. We've run into a fair few issues since and the build quality has indeed been a let-down. We're posting regular CZcams Shorts about the conversion of anyone's interested.

      Camping should be enjoyable & stress free, plus finding out of the way places. I think your attempts are laudable but doomed. Mainly the range, but also not suited to that purpose. I wish you luck.

      @@ghunt9146 Thanks! It's one year on since we posted that comment and we've been to 15 countries in Europe, mostly wild camping, and have absolutely loved our experience so far!

    Poor quality, many defects
    We have been driving the E-Ducato as a panel van with the 79KWh battery since November 22.
    Not bad in concept but unfortunately many flaws.
    -defective wiring harness, frayed after 300km from the factory due to poor routing,
    -high consumption of 40-45KWh / 100km in winter everyday,
    - Poor processing in the factory, connection to the reversing alarm not available,
    -App running with error message: battery failure,
    - Loud hours of fan noise when charging with 11KW, AC of 72dB, neighbors complain about the noise, noises are outside the specifications of the BISchG,
    -Fiat promised a solution in the first quarter of 22, now in April 22 it just means everything is OK, there is no shortage
    - creaking noises in the steering after about 1500km, dome bearing defective

      Nice to see another E-Ducato owner in here! Like you, we've experienced some pretty big issues as well since we received our van back in September 2021. We also get the battery failure notification in the app, good to hear we're not the only ones! But our biggest issue so far has been our van breaking down, which two months later still hasn't been solved.     Sounds like knowone at stelantis / fiat drove the thing. Maybe they want maxis to clean up in the van market. You would think that the group book of rules would prevent them from doing something like only being able to charge with the van locked. Well done for doing a full test and not giving up. Arrival are taking too much care to design the perfect van when they maybe don't have to work that hard to outwit the competition.

    The German reviews, and i've seen a few of them, are not half as bad as yours. My company gets a lotof thes Ducato's (79 Kwh) because of the range which is much better than the Sprinters we already have. I wonder how that will turn out.

    These vans are not made for driving air around. They need some weight in the back.

    What is the driving range on one charge? Can they be obtained in the USA?

    Bag of spanner’s made into a fiat. 50 + grand for this 😱, wouldn’t give 20 grand 👎 Great Vlog 👍

    Brutal review. Seems like a real heap. Such a lazy execution from fiat. Sticking that tablet/satnav thing on the side Pilar. What a joke.

    That's a bummer 🙁 half way I was getting your point already.
    CCS not really on par. Interface bad.
    It's really not much more than those conversions other companies made on them for 5-8 years ago.
    I think it isn't a conditioned pack too.
    I've seen the price on them here being 80k on the L3H3. So talking about worse...
    I think we all have to wait for the eTransit.

      I wholeheartedly agree, it feels like a conversion, and not a good one at that. I was really disappointed with this van, especially at the money. Hopefully the new Ducato will be a big improvement, because the eTransit is looming large.

    Appaling interior build quality because its a shit rhd conversion
