What I don't understand, you're literally right there when they do your nails. If during the process you are unhappy with something they did, you tell them so that they can fix it right away. If they are unable to fix it at the time they will usually ask you to come for a redo, at my place of business the redo is at no charge too. So unnecessary.
I have been displeased with my nails before I always express displeasure politely tell them what I’m specifically unhappy about(too thick, uneven, brush strokes) I’ve even stopped a technician doing my nails from doing something I not pleased with(nip in the bud to prevent a whole redo). As aforementioned I inform them before I leave and pay for the service to me someone who leaves with nails they are unhappy with and doesn’t pay isn’t unhappy they just don’t want to pay
This is why I just clip my own nails and don't bother going to a salon😂so I pay nothing😂
Let’s be real, I have had my nails done before and during the process you point out to them “hey that one nail is crooked or the nail polish has bubbles can you fix it” I have gotten the lady tell me “relax hunny, I will come back and fix it” and then they forget and you looking at them all weird and have to remind them and then they argue with you, and only when u say, “I am not paying full price” most are willing to fix the nail. This nail tech was just over this gurl period.

In any Western country it is ridiculously illegal to prevent someone from leaving because of a contractual dispute. The customer was not satisfied with the service. They could not come to a mutual resolution. Take the client's information and consult legal counsel if necessary. These Asians don't understand. This is not China. This is Canada, an English Common Law country.

Not really because she can't judge the quality of the job until it is finished, also she offered to pay 50% unless they fixed the job. You can hear her saying it in the video, but the salon refused to fix the issues she has with the nails. In part of the video which is hard to hear because the announcer is talking over it, she complains about the job being unfinished and the nails being of the wrong lengths.

I’ve been getting my nails done every 2-3 weeks for nearly 12 years. I’ve had a ton of terrible nail jobs and I have always just paid the bill, left a bad yelp review, and never returned to that same nail salon. Why go through all this drama?

My aunt once encountered the same situation. After she finished the customer's acrylic/powder set nails (you know those fake nails), the customer said she refused to pay and said the nails were ugly. My aunt politely asked to see her nails, then quickly use the file machine to file the fake nails off. My aunt told her, "if you dont want to pay, I'll just take back my service." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Acrylic nail is done by experience operators...the acrylic can set quickly and balky ...if the manicurist doesn't know what she is doing..is hard to remove it...The solution is to offer a complete removal of the work or just pay$25 instead of $75.take a photo never allow her inside the salon again...sometimes you loose a bit sometime you win...It is a "customer service"

My friend gave free designs on ten nails, the girl told her that one flower was smaller than the others and refused to pay. Some customers ran out of the salon while drying their nails.

For 76 dollars she had to have added things to her nails. Like rhinestones, gems, glitter, a design etc. You mean to tell me she got acrylic... didn’t complain. Then the shaping process for acrylic, she didn’t complain. Painting her nails, she didn’t complain. Adding designs and rhinestones... no complaints? I think she just heard 76 and didn’t want to pay.

If you ask the Nail ladies nicely, they would have fixed it for you. If you cannot afford to pay, go ask your stepdad to do your nails.
