I think the motor company did the right thing in giving the Pan America the CVO treatment. I love it and I think it will get plenty of interest in here in Europe, where Adventure Bikes are the biggest section of the motorcycle market and the new BMW GS1300 has had a very mixed reception. The Street Glide looks amazing in the chrome trim and Alpine Green paint😘

    @cschauer Před 7 měsíci +1

Hey Blair. Great content… BUT… I have to strenuously disagree with you on so many parts. You are about the 3rd CZcamsr that I’ve heard say about all this price drop… Ok… a few Soft Tails went down… BUT… I ride a 22 Electra Glide Standard… With that said… Harley killed the EG Standard and the Road King Standard. Both $19999 or $20K entry level baggers. This year, they stopped distinguishing between standard/special/and ST. BUT… They didn’t reduce anything. They took away the customer choice between engine sized 107 standard and 114 special. They took the new “base model” from $23K to $26k. How is that a price drop? Your closest “special” would be the new CVO ST and that’s $42k. Where is the entry level bagger? Where is a bagger that will help bring new riders to the bagger scene on a budget? They don’t exist. If these new offerings were my only choice 2 years ago… I would have been priced out of doing business with Harley. I also don’t get the “horsepower fanboy” thing that seems to be the current fad. If you want to road race… build a moto GP bike. I think a vastly larger segment, especially the bagger segment, want comfortable, relaxed, cruising. Not “how fast can we rip the twisties.” Sorry. I am absolutely not happy with anything the Motor Company has done this release. I feel that they are catering to way too small of nice markets and forgetting about the majority of their base and those looking to get into touring on a budget. Especially in this economy.

I was disappointed in the Softails not getting any updates this year. But today's reveal totally redeemed it for me. I really dig the new Glides. I had a 2022 Road Glide standard and they addressed all the issues I had with my bike. The 107, small bags, crappy rear suspension, awful handlebars, and seat. The good: The MSRP is lower but you get All LED lighting, integrated WHIM now along with integrated RDRS, The 12 in. TFT screen, standard 200 watt audio/Car Play and the 117 cu motor. All in all-I'd say that's a really good value compared the the same old bland year after year servings we've gotten since 2015.
The bad: I am NOT a fan of the new saddle bag shape and there's not too many accessories you can swap over from your 2014 thru 2023 except the 4 point hitch. Lastly the 2024 colors don't excite me either and Vivid Black is now a $650 option!

Another aspect I like is that they kept the frame mostly as it was before, that’s really good stuff. I am giving it some thought now as to whether I should get a SG instead of the Fat Boy as originally planned (I have an Iron already).

I like the New Bikes but a CVO Pan America! Really Harley? I wonder if they will X the Road King or revamp it for a 2024.5 Model?

I'm so glad I was stupid enough to buy a 23 cvo. When all I had to do was wait 4months to get all the same goodies a lesser model. For less money. &#^#^%#&

I just watched Motobob’s (a Brit)video on Harley’s new bikes. And judging from the comments section, man those Europeans don’t like Harleys! And no,I’m not just now finding that out! 😅This comment section was much more positive about the new bikes. Truly,HD seems to be an American phenomenon! I’m not a Harley guy myself, but I like to keep up on what they’re doing.

I'm from England and own two Harley's. Quite a few of my friends own and ride Harley's and have done all of their adult lives. The fact is that these so called new models are minor tweaks of existing machines with new colours. Do you think it's a case of emperor's new clothes. By the way motobob is usually very honest with his reviews. The only current Harley I would buy is the street bob at 15k. The rest are overpriced Christmas trees

We still have wait for the Enthusiast and Icon series bikes. Any thoughts when those will be released?

I think HD really stepped up there game on the touring line up for 2024 with the Roadglide and Streetglide.
Especially with the CVO Roadglide ST.
    It looks killer!
But there are a couple things on the CVO Roadglide ST that kinda take away from the overall looks.
I would say that I am not a fan of the Screaming Eagle logo that starts on the fairing and carries over to the gas tank.It looks really dated.Like back to the very early 2000s.
It takes away from the overall look.
I understand that HD was maybe going for that retro look and the retro tank "Harley Davidson" badging from the late 1970s lowrider that they put on this bike as well as all of the previous year ST models looks great alone.
But they could've done without the eagle.
I'm also not a fan of the carbon fiber funky print theme that they went with on this RG CVO ST.
If they had went with the traditional carbon fiber gloss print that you would normally see on genuine carbon fiber body parts,I think it would've looked much better.
But other than that I think HD did an awesome job building a factory race inspired bagger!

What’s the “and more” I really think the road king is overdue for a makeover. I think they need to release the Bronx. Big year for touring models but everything is fair… I’m not a fan of the paint in the non-touring models. Still LOVE Harleys
