    I have a RFZ z40 max 140cc engine and is leaking oil out the exhaust. I’m having a hard time finding the right piston to order to replace it. I believe it’s the piston rings that need replacing! 🙏 opinions are welcomed!

    Is it necessary to take the cam chain tensionner off ? I guess not but i prefer to ask since it will be a first time to me. Also do you leave the engine at tdc before taking it apart? Or it does not matter since you have to time it again after ?

    • @Moto-li9or
      @Moto-li9or  Před 5 lety +4

      Hi there, the cam chain tensioner needs to be undone and removed for the barrel to slide off. Or the chain will end up stuck on the tensioner. And to add to this there is no need to get to tdc, when you reverse the process you will line up the mark on the magneto to the casing and Mark on the cam gear again to the casing.

    • @Moto-li9or
      @Moto-li9or  Před 5 lety

      If there is fuel getting in, carb cleaned with compression it could be the engine timing out. It may have a spark with the timing slightly out but wont run.

    where and how do you remember the parts

    • @Moto-li9or
      @Moto-li9or  Před 5 lety

      Remembering where the parts go comes with experience of taking so many apart. If you are taking one apart for the first time I would advise keeping all of the parts with the item removed and laid out.
