  • The legendary children's writer Michael Rosen had a long battle with Covid.
The disease, which nearly killed him, kept him in intensive care for 48 days and over that time a legion of skilled doctors and nurses kept him alive.
And so it was that last weekend, Michael, an active Twitter user posted a photo of a note written in his patient diary by a nurse called Beth.
On April 16th he wrote: Two years ago today: Beth (who I’ve not met since) working to keep me alive, giving me years more life. This is from my ‘Patient Diary’ from when I was in a coma."
Today, live on GMB, we will be reuniting Michael and Beth, a nurse from Great Ormond Street Hospital for the first time. She had been drafted in as extra help on the ward where Michael was being cared for in Whittington Hospital.
