Ní féidir linn mothú tinn
(Ní) airíonn rud ar bith - is cuma linn
Bíodh an diabhal, bíodh an diabhal
Is breá liom é, an chraic ar ball
Fón bualadh ard, coisir tí tosú
Airím an grá, airím an grá
hAon, dó, trí, haon, dó,trí, siar
hAon, dó, trí, haon, dó,trí, siar
hAon, dó, trí, haon, dó,trí, siar
Á gcaithe siar, cé ‘tá comhaireamh?
Mé chun luasc(adh) ón chandelier, ón chandelier
Mé chun na maidí scaoileadh leo imeacht le sruth, ag imeacht le sruth
Mé chun eitilt tríd ceartlár na hoíche, lig na deora ag sní
Mé chun luasc(adh) ón chandelier - ón chandelier
Níl ann ach g’ bhfuil me beo
Gan ‘n ann caint nó breathnú níos mó
Líon mo ghloine go cur thar maoil
Sula dtéann mé glan as mo chiall
Féach, níl ann ach g’ bhfuil me beo
Gan ‘n ann caint nó breathnú níos mó
Líon mo ghloine go cur thar maoil
Sula dtéann mé glan as mo chiall
Glan as mo chiall
Ghrian g’éirí, mé mo staic
Céard tharla ‘réir - níl fhios a’am
Nairé an domhain , náire an domhain
hAon, dó, trí, haon, dó,trí, siar
hAon, dó, trí, haon, dó,trí, siar
hAon, dó, trí, haon, dó,trí, siar
Á gcaithe siar, cá ‘tá comhaireamh?
Mé chun luasc(adh) ón chandelier, ón chandelier
Mé chun na maidí scaoileadh leo imeacht le sruth, ag imeacht le sruth
Mé chun eitilt tríd ceartlár na hoíche, lig na deora ag sní
Mé chun luasc(adh) ón chandelier - ón chandelier
Níl ann ach g’ bhfuil me beo

What a voice that girl has.
Orlagh Mc Donagh she’s my sub teacher
I'm from Belarus. I adore how Gaeilge makes this song more impressive! Want to learn it more than ever before. Don't let your language die! It's unbelievably pure!
Look Sia has a super voice. But his girl is just next level. I was mesmerize
The language is not only the most beautiful, but it is the purest.
Grand
That young lady has a magnificent voice. It suited the song perfectly and she sung with great confidence. Comhghairdeas agus Go Raibh maith agat.
She has such a beautiful voice. I like this way more than the original.
I wonder if sia is aware that her song is after being translated in as gaeilge. I think its fantastic.
Wow, what a voice. Fabulous.
Since 2 years I heard this version first time I feel this voice very often on my way to work. What an unbelievable voice!
Understatement to say I love this from start to finish.

An-jab Ruth! ❤️
I LOVE this video!! This may very well be my new favorite that you guys have done.

Congratulations on this wondeful song, Ruth and Colaiste Lurgan! Very proud cousin here :)
Goosebumps
The gaeltacht wasn't like that when I went there as a teen :-) Keep up the great work, maith an obair, go hiontach.
As a huge fan, this may be better than Avicii: new #1 in my book. Congratulations! REALLY well done! Be SO proud of yourselves.
I had a terrible thought. As I understand it there are only 45k Irish speakers? Please correct me if I'm off. Irish dance, especially clogging (if I get the terms wrong, please forgive me!) will NEVER die out. With the numbers doing it around the world, especially in America, there's no way Irish Dance dies.
But the Irish language........
I worry. I'm a historian and I applaud you for attempting to preserve living, audible history. It's what you're doing, and Bravo for it!
Do not stop what you're doing. It is as close to an absolute good I can think of.
+Random Ninja Just to clarify - Gaeilge was recognised as an official EU language in 2007 but with derogation status. The derogation status will end by 2021 which was confirmed recently. Muin, foghlaim agus abair leat an teanga. Tír gan teanga, tír gan anam. Teach. learn and speak Gaeilge. Ireland without Gaeige is Ireland without its soul.
+Alicia Rossano My darling, you have a VERY marketable skillset and I envy you it. The doors that will open for you will show you amazing things in your future.
Never stop learning, dear.
+Mr Marcus As an American, Marcus, that Gaelige in ANY possible way could NOT be an EU language is baffling to Americans who bother to learn about these things.
If Gaelige doesn't belong to Europe, which continent DOES it belong to?
+Random Ninja Fáilte a chara, Im Irish btw so I know exactly how the Irish school system works as ive been through it and students dont need to study foreign languages at secondary level if they dont want to. You can pick another combination of subjects if you want to avoid languages. The leaving Certificate which is the final high school exam is based on your best 6 subjects out of 7 studied. For the majority of students Irish, English & Mathamatics are compulsary + another minimum 4. You could study more in your own time if you wanted. Your best 6 will cound towards your points. Anyway, personally I believe that the entire primary system needs the reset button pushed. Primary schooling should be though the medium of Irish. Irish should be the language, not just a subject. The gaelscoil primaries produce kids that by 12 years of age are fluent in irish and fluent in english. Because the languages are structured so differently, with the concepts and structures understood at leaving primary level, learning other languages in particular at secondary school would be a relatively easy in my opinion.
Im Irish, and I think that your comment is very true, as a child, I am not the biggest fan of Irish but I think that it is quite nice to have your own cool language.
What a beautiful language, dammit ;_;
***** not yet ;_;
