In this episode of 10th Scale Garage, We take a look at every Axial SCX24 and rank them from best to worst. Arguably some of the best 1/24 scale RC crawlers, these things are similar in many ways, but how are they different. We examine the Deadbolt, The Jeep Wrangler, The Limited Edition B-17 Betty, The C-10, and the NEW Jeep Gladiator. We'll take them out on the mini crawler course and but them to the test, and test out all of their upgrades.

Totally agree I have 2 of all of them and people forget these are baby trail rigs. I drive 1 set all stock and love the m. They all have their ups and downs stock. And modified the deadbolt hands down is the best crawler. But my 2nd set has almost all the same upgrades but again besides my dB they are all trail.

Love this vid!!! So my son and I went to our first comp crawl tonight, took our stock Deadbolts that only have a nickel and dime on each servo. (Just under 8g) and they actually did real well. One dude with his Jeep asked how many mods. He was surprised there were none other than the servo weight. I’m Surprised the Deadbolts not getting much love here! Lol
Only plan servo upgrade, wheels & tires to stay on the cheap and I think they will hang tough.
But I love them all! would love to see this comparison with bone stock trucks.
Again great vid!!! Really looking forward to your adventures with these little beasties!
    Gladly subbed!

I have a modified Betty and C10 myself. I went with lifted suspension on the Betty so get rid of the rubbing issue while making it look like an absolute monster at the same. It really fixes all the issues and then its hard to beat. Try some foam-less RC4WD tires. At this tiny scale you don't need foams and taking them out makes a massive difference. The tires are so soft they stick to absolutely everything!

I agree right up to the last two, I only own two and its a pretty modified jeep and then a stock c10, now what takes the c10 ahead of my jeep is the stock tires and rims of the jeep. because of them being taller I can do more with the c10. I'm new and trying to decide..... Didn't have time to read all the comments but was wondering if you could just put sand or brass BB's from a pellet gun inside the tires for a cheap fix to get more weight down low? Thanks and thumbs up. I think I'll even Sub. :-)

Yeah you could, but you’d be interfering with the flex of the tires. You want more unsprung weight, preferably non-rotational. Back in the day we would stick wheel weights to the tops of the axels.

@@10thScaleGarage I plan on modifying the snot out of it, so do you think the long wheel base gladiator is worth it? Or save the $50 because I can always get longer arms?

I have multiples of every scx 24 and I can see why the Gladiator was the worst but when you start slapping better parts and cut on the body it is amazingly agile and will out crawl every other modified 24 scale that you have. I upgrade every crawler that I own and the Gladiator is always the winner. I have a few jeeps but the only one that can compete with the Gladiator is the one with Gladiator links so its stretched out the same as the Gladiator.
