With every next generation of their models, they made them faster and faster. My HS-U446 with the A450 mechanism can rewind a T180 in about the same amout of time it took that A400 mechanism to rewind the T-120 featured here. It would probably take my HS-U446 about 45 seconds to rewind that T120. You still have a good VCR though, and I'm very fond of it. czcams.com/video/Ss6HzUZWt8E/video.html
Yes, I love it. The picture is very nice. And to think I got it for free lol. The fast rewind made me afraid for it and my tapes though, so these days I use a tape winding machine made by Kinyo.
@@rickelwood4644 I know it's the same spead, BUT you have to work to get backwards no? As opposed to just moving fast forward, where it'll probably just go fast forward quicker right? That's how a tape works right?
Question and I hate the grating sound of tapes rewinding: is the rewinding or fast forwarding sound the same as the one from this video czcams.com/video/AlLnmrfvhb4/video.html (@0:01) or is that just the motor bringing in the tape? Or ejecting?
@@gabesyt4863 No I don't hate it. I just disliked such sounds. But this one didn't have the tape reel as big, because the bigger the reel, the more you hear the ticka ticka ticka literally. This one was a commercial VHS right? Usually those are on camcorder tapes :)
@@gabesyt4863 I know the logo of the video I just showed you was of a photo camera. Hence is that a camera winding sound? Or is that just a VCR tape-inserting sound?
Damn man that's insane. I actually stopped using this VCR to rewind tapes because it will wear itself and my tapes out this way. I use a separate rewinding machine now.
@@gabesyt4863 yeah it’s a crazy Mitsubishi machine. I’m always scared to use it especially on shorter tapes. edit: just used it again and the tape came out super hot
Many modern VCRs do indeed rewind very fast. I have a 180 minute tape which rewinds in less than two minutes. :)

Did it just get past a section of tape that was eaten by another VCR?
I'm not sure, but hey, it managed it lol.

@gabesyt4863 what about the fast forwards that are fast? Rewinding takes more work right? Because it's going backwards?
@@robjackson5245 Nope. Rewinds at the same speed as it fast-forwards.

Love your profile pic 👍🏻
Thank you, I like it too.
Imagine one dust particle going between that 😬
Maybe that happened at 31 seconds lol
Do You was be trying of T-160? (Alternative of E-240)
It was a T-120 tape.

No, its not the same. I'm sorry to say if you dislike such noise you're watching the wrong video, haha.

Is that a Memorex 120 minute RV VHS Tape? Looks very familiar.
It's more likely a Maxell or Premium tape, that's what I had back then.

That's pretty much how my Panasonic does it
What model do you have?
Panasonic Z deck is very similar in speed.
Same with my toshiba
