I’ve been growing tomatoes for several years but I’ve learnt SO much...the finer details make ALL the difference. Thank you Sarah x
So brilliant and straight to the point... All within 12 minutes. Thank you!
As a 'Newbie' I found this really helpful, thank you. Now I need to find an equally useful video on nutrients and fertilisers
Let "Tomato Season" begin! A big thank you for introducing me to ring culture pots. Loved the explanation about feeder roots & water roots regarding how to get better tasting tomatoes. WOW, I want to give these a try! TFS - hope you enjoy the rest of your week!
Sarah is the best!
Sarah thank you for a wonderful teaching and sharing. Look forward to all your videos.
This is such an excellent channel, I'm glad CZcams recommended your videos to me. Subscribed!
Thank you for the great content.
Well done! We grow about 30-50 tomato plants from seed here outdoors on 1/3 of an acre in northwest Washington USA zone 8A. Everything you said was spot on. I’ll be sharing this video with others so I don’t have to continue to teach people myself😅 Thank-you for sharing! This year we implemented another new trial with ollas (terra-cotta pots with their drainage hole blocked & covered with a matching saucer) buried next to each tomato plant’s root ball. We’ve only done 6 of them this way as a test to see if it works well enough to provide water through the hot dry time in July & August. Fingers crossed...but I also love the simplicity of the water bottle in a pinch. Someday I hope to have your lovely collars!🤞😉
I just clicked on the video to hear the impeccable pronunciation of "tomAtoes" 🍅 Brilliant!
Excellent. Very informative. Especially growing up the twine.
Wonderful lesson, thank you Sarah!
Wow - I enjoyed that video. I could listen to you all day!
Great tips; loved the explanation of the dual root system and the home-made watering bottles. Thank you
I lucked upon your channel when I was searching for tulip info. It has such great knowledge. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you. I e just been given a 10 inch tomato plant to grow on and wasn’t sure how to ...now I do.
Just wonderful - thank you!
Thank you for such a wonderful explanation
Lovely tips with the PET-bottle for deep watering 🌻!
I wonder, is it one bottle per tomato plant or could it be placed in between like 3 plants?
great tomato information! Thank you!
Great tip on re-using water bottles for this year's crop- thanks
Very good
Just about to 'pot on' some tom plants and love the idea of the water bottle - will certainly be using that (saves on compost too lol)
Thanks you to share 👍
❤️❤️🙏
Thank you!
U got a new fan Sarah! 👋❤️
great video thank you Sarah. Looking at your tomatoes in the background, what do you recommend for spacing in a greenhouse?
Really helpful video thank you 🤗 How would you go about watering tomatoes in a grow bag, they seem too shallow to only water the water roots?🤔🍅
Lets grow!
some great tips here, but was wondering what was walking through the outside garden around the 7:34 mark,,,looked like a fairy taking a stroll??
I saw that too!!!
❤
Wow, all we did was throw a few ripe (must be very ripe) cherry tomatoes on the ground, squash them with the heel of our shoes and stand back! Yep they grew like weeds, the sweetest tangiest tomatoes anywhere. I think, though this vid was only two years ago, since the advent of the cherry tomato life got a lot easier perhaps? They always came true to seed so maybe they were the original. We never had to buy seed at least so I guess they got just got smaller and smaller over the years from one or two ordinary pearl type tomato someone threw out in the banana plantation. Reverted to delicious type? Having said that this is the only way I've ever been able to succesfully grow tomatoes. They also self seeded all over the place, with the help of birds we never needed to buy tomatoes. I did try a few times with bought seed of bigger interesting though highly strung types with all the thinning ,caring , tying up and feeding but they always failed. Disease, insect attack and fungal and viral assualt they just wouldn't thrive.
Do you use Tom feed or comfrey or see weed please tell which one you use please thanks for your time 🐞🐦👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
lovely video! I have a question though. This is in Australia no? when do you think would be ok for someone in Spain to sort planting tomato seeds? end of winter? or end of spring?
It's in England......
