Okay...the lighting is a bit messed up on this video and I look a bit orange. Not the best look...I know...but I didn't feel like shooting the entire thing over again. Forgive me. :-)
You are forgiven :D
a handwritten apology to all 9300 subscribers will be sufficient and then we'll take a vote on if you are forgiven muahaha
looks good I am even watching it 2 years later :-) Thanks
Thanks so much for coming by, and for sharing this video about your experience. It’s so cool to get to hang out in person after so many years of virtual communication! Thanks for all the kind words, and for going through all the trouble to cook the bacon! I’m a little jealous of your Custom Urushi, I haven’t sprung for one myself yet (though I’ve been in love with the pen since I first saw it). I gotta have a limit somewhere, right? Right? ;) -Brian
Thanks for the invite, Brian. See you next week in ATL!
if Brian Goulet himself is jealous you are making these pens rare now
Thanks for visiting David, welcome back anytime! Wish I never knew about the bacon that never was though. Sounded so good! :) - Colin
Thanks for having me!
Better send him an extra lollipop the next time he orders from you!
Thank you Brian & The Goulet Pen Co. sharing Figboot on Pens sub'd David's channel as well....another great under-rated channel on CZcams.
Thank you David. I watch all I your videos. I like your presentation style and you candid evaluations. They have influenced many of my pen purchases over the past few months since I have renewed my interest in fountain pens. I've viewed Brian video on his operation. And yours adds a welcome and different perspective. Well done! And keep them coming!
I love the vibe of your videos. They feel so positive, with that simple yet profound passion around the topics you cover. And I also appreciate your explanations and the excitement around those. Really is something valuable that I just see in some youtube channels.
I very much enjoyed this video and the interview with Brian. What a treat! Thank you!
Love watching Goulet videos. This was cool too! Lookong forward to your next video with Brian.
Thank you David. And Brian.
Interesting video, David. It is always good to see how a company (pen retailer in this instance) does things. Glad you enjoyed the visit, and I am sure you shared with Brian your thoughts and perspective.
Thank you for sharing your experience.!!
What a great video. Just saw the Goulet collab and it is refreshing to see the natural flow of conversation. Here’s to milestones of your own !
This video makes me happy! Can't wait to watch the two of you together tomorrow!
Such a great company. Thanks for sharing your visit.
Great video! TY for the time and effort to make the post!
This is a very well edited video. Thank you for sharing!
David thank you and Brian for an insight into Brian's amazing company. So the company is an online and not a walk in company. Thank very much for sharing.
Thank you for the tour. My favorite CZcams heros being gracious to each other, as they are to their audience and customers. Using my TWSBI Eco today, white and broadnibbed, with an unknown ink that is the most beautiful brownish red I’ve ever seen. I think instead of a bidet (an extra toilet)I’ll opt for an extra sink dedicated to pen maintenance. What a great idea with which to start the day.
Thanks for sharing the day at Goulet. It looks like it was quite enjoyable and I am looking forward to seeing your review on that massive pen.
Very nicely done .... Now for your interview 👏👏👏👏👌
I always look forward to your puzzle installation!
Thank you, David!
David--this video is a real treat. It's always nice to get a different look at something that interests you. I watch all the Goulet videos, so a different point of view is much appreciated.
I was all set to ask you to share your recipe for Millionaire's Bacon, but after seeing the picture of your house, I think I'll pass😉.
Your passion for Pens is contagious and educational watching your show is a must , well done
Very enjoyable video; thanks and keep up the good work!
Thank you! I really enjoyed this video. Your new pen is pretty awesome!
Thanks David!!! I enjoyed this video!!!! Love that Pilot
Two of my absolute favorite content creators together!
Thank you for the heads-up on the Goulet Pens visit. I enjoyed your photo postings and commentary, as well as the cooking lesson! It was nice to give the Edison folks some spotlight time! I did watch today’s Goulet segment, too, and learned quite a bit about your top pens and why you like them. Thank you for adding so much to the pen community.
Thanks for watching!
I am very new to the fountain pen world. I got my first pen about a month ago, and it was from Goulet. The pen can in the mail very quickly and I loved how easy the process was. The pen I got however was defective. BUT Goutlet was very quick to correct the issue, and they shipped me a new pen as soon as they were aware of the problem. Their customer service is excellent! I will definitely be buying pens from them again. No product is perfect, and sometimes you get a dud, but it's how you take care of the customer that counts, and the Goulet Pen Company is a 10 out of 10 in that department!
Jeremy Ingram , I agree! I am also new to the fountain pen world and bought my first pen just a few weeks ago. The Goulet Pen Company is so welcoming and helpful. They have excellent customer service and make customers feel like part of the family!
With that pen, you should collect the full size tootsie pop. lol. The video was great, the hour really did fly past! Glad you had a good time. That picture of the warehouse full of pens and notebooks is amazing, certainly raises my heart rate 🤓🖋🗒. Thanks for another great video.
Great video! I'm a big fan of Goulet Pens. Them seem to have a great work atmosphere for their employees. Love the door with the giant nim Good luck to you and rveryone at Goulet Pens.
A big thank you to David and every one at the Goulet👍👍👍👍👍
Very nice to see our fountain pen friends, collab. :-)
God bless you.
Great vid. I became a sub tonight. Keep those vids coming, good job.
Awesome video, thanks
I had no idea how huge this business is. I actually said to Brian that I wanted to franchise his store here in Oregon. Boy was I silly. I did not know the office was not open to the public. I thought it was a storefront. Thoroughly enjoyed this video.💝
It was cool listening to your thoughts on the process and operations at Goulet. Also, millionaire's bacon sounds delicious.
I'm delighted to have found your channel and in turn Goulet pens. Really enjoy your content. Greetings from Scotland.
Thanks for watching. I visited Scotland a few years ago and very much enjoyed the country. I would love to go back sometime.
Great video, thank you for sharing your experience! I'm eying those cabinets too, but for my watercolor papers, though for those I would need something that can be shut airtight, which is always a problem. But for pens, they seem nice. I never want to own enough pens to justify such a cabinet. X;D
Thanks David, cool video
Great video!
Great video! Like the business insights.
Hey just discovered you via the Goulet connection. Appreciate your style and will subscribe.
I thoroughly enjoyed both yours and Brian's videos. Just solid gold people both of you. A pleasure to journey with you. The bacon sounds fabulous. Are you sharing the recipe any time soon?
Hello and Congratulations on Birthday and your Your Tube milestone. I haven't watched many of your videos but I do remember your showing how to "flush out" a fountain pen with one of those baby nose irrigation bulbs. I may have to pick up another one as mine was thrown out many years ago. (my baby is now 24). Keep up the good work!!
I know I would love that huge pen. I love my Jinhao 159X. I was surprised at how big it is and how much I love writing with it. 💝
I’m loving this vid. Thank you. Love their company, and I’ve only been ordering from them for a couple of months. Your vids are great.
You definitely need a lollipop. Back when we could gather... sigh
First video I watched if yours. I really like what you do. I am subscribing
Thanks for watching!
I'll just say one word: wooow!!! What a company 👍
You're an excellent narrator!
I’m really looking forward to your review of the Custom Urushi. Did you go for a Medium nib?
Yes, I did...
Thank you!
That was a nice insight into the company.
Just a quick question: when you mention the ink bottles that don't fit, I couldn't quite understand the second brand you mention. Could you tell me what it is? Thanks in advance.
Seitz Kreuznach. It's an Austrian company, I believe. Their bottles look like flasks.
Thanks!
You had to mention the Tootsie Pops and the Bacon. Now I'm hungry for yet another order from the Goulets for the first and a trip to the grocers for the latter. Hopefully without the smoke though. :D
Others have said it all better than I could, so I'll just say thanks for this video (and all your others). Your videos are real treats that make me smile.
Thanks for watching! This was a fun one to put together.
I've only placed 2 orders so far with Goulet, for very entry level items (just a couple of Metros) but I definitely like what I see. I pick up a strong sense of "do what you believe in and believe in what you do". I'm in the UK and our import charges may make placing higher value orders with Goulet a little prohibitive, but that isn't their fault. I will definitely be speaking with them soon about a Lamy 2000. I just fear that I will be speaking with them a lot more as my addiction develops. Ah well, at least it keeps my credit card provider happy eh?
i want to see how the custom urushi matches up against the decoband and danitrio in the size comparison, it'll be the battle of the miniature baseball bats
Live your videos 😋
Cheesy😂🤣😂Good one. Now I have to make that bacon. As if bacon alone is not enough 💝
The Mac & Cheese trophy was “sufficiently cheesy “ 😂
I couldn’t help but facepalm when you said you didn’t pick up a lolipop. I guess that’s the kid in me.
mmmmmm, hash house a go go, LOVE that place I go every chance I get when I am traveling
I need the recipe for the bacon.
L💜VE!
Fountain Pens AND Macaroni and Cheese!!!! Nirvana!!
Goulet is a great outfit. I buy all my FP stuff from them. 👍
Interesting
Oh man I could just imagine someone at a pen business getting upset...the ink would go flying HAHA!!!!!
You are absolutely in the conversation with pen reviewers. You are top 3. Goulet is not top 3 of reviewers.
This is like walking into Willy Wonka's chocolate factory!
1:37 When you said "A very large company", do you mean you work at McDonalds?
Over 150 "uh"s in 13.5 minutes
there, hello....thank you for your bravery and superb counting skills, your comment will surely force david to hire an elocution expert and a 43 man writing team so future generations will never have to deal with the atrocity against mankind known as "uh"
It's quite surprising how jolting they become once you start paying attention to them. I'm quite certain these videos are scripted (in fact, I believe in a few older videos a computer monitor with a text document or a paper of some sort can be seen reflected off of David's glasses), and as such any stuttering or vocal stints are either habitual or in some other way completely unnecessary. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy David's videos, but the incessant interruptions (often at the beginnings of sentences) result in me straying more towards more "polished" reviewers, even if that is due to more clipping/editing.
there, hello.....turned off by the way david talks, continues to watch david's videos
What an interesting treat, as I love doing business with The Goulet Pen Co. One of these days I’ll finally get the Tootsie Pop flavor I want; until then, I’ll just have to keep buying pens from them!
Hey buddy, IKEA actually sells a storage device in their kitchenware section for storing spice jars in draw at an angle, so they'll fit in a draw, but they are not laying flat in their sides and cannot spill! You might look into this! I wish I could remember what it was called for you.
