The house looks nice just not very much a home feels more like a posh coffee shop/pub or a social commercial place 🤷🏽♀️
I had the same impression, especially in the living area. More like a fancy restaurant with a bar.
Yes the way it's set up is like a posh cafe definitely
I agree, it doesn't look very "homely" to me though it's undeniably impressive.
So many places are like that now, the renovations are geared towards appearing like a shopping mall or bar rather than a cosy home. I don't think it would take much to make this feel like a home though, just a few small tweaks, some time living there, easy enough I imagine.
The house is nice but not homely. Ot feels more like a getaway place
I think it’s the cluster of lounge vibes
Looks like a good hotel. Not a house for a family
This would make a lovely boutique hotel but can't imagine this as a home
Weird, I only see it as a home, not a hotel or any rental.
Of all the houses you guys have shown, this is probably the nicest one. Love the interior design, the soft finishing, and the staging. An additional point for the in-house gym and spa facilities. Well done.
Thanks KC! It is honestly the most gorgeous home I have ever seen! If you would like any more information or a viewing please contact me directly at georgina.woods@chestertons.com or speak to myself/my team on +44 (0)20 7288 0330 . Kind regards, Georgina (Chestertons New Homes - Office Manager)
The bedrooms look quite disappointing. Especially the master bedroom which looks rather cramped.
I genuinely laughed out loud when I saw it. Who in their right mind would pay 7.5 million and have that as a bedroom
It doesn’t feel like a home, more like a hotel lobby with a kitchen in the middle. Rather strange.
Still for sale at the end of March 2021, reduced to £6,750,000. I love the bedrooms, and the outdoors indoors feeling of the extension. But that huge living area... I can't help think it needs to be designed to be less like a hotel lobby or fancy airport lounge. Maybe there is enough natural light to put a large indoor garden in the centre? To fill in the space and also provide more, separate defined living areas.
This is the best property that you’ve shown. Like the combo of space and cozy bedrooms.
Good luck keeping that space warm during winter time
I would use that elevated place as a library
I honestly love this property, It’s one of the few I’ve seen in London that actually feels like it’s worth the money and you’re not just playing for the location!.. But I also feel like you need a couple billion in the bank and this would just be an event hosting property.
Stunning building , but looks like a hotel not a home , badly dressed and layout
I love this! Best property you have shown so far, I love a bit of history to buildings too, so this is perfect ❤️
I loved the open plan space and mezzanine level. The interior design has been executed beautifully and really gives the WOW factor to the property. However, I would have expected the Master Bedroom Suite to have been a lot bigger and more impressive than it was, with potentially His and Hers Dressing Rooms. Overall a great property.
Thank you for your comment. It is a wonderful property and it is even more impressive in real life - definitely worth a viewing. You get a lot of bang for your buck here. Blimey! This is EXACTLY the property I have always been looking for! WOW! Loving it!
This is on another level !! Think i would have bedroom 2 as my main as i lime the quirky little steps down to the bed and the outdoor space xxx
Some of these comments... being grade II listed means there are certain (structural) renovations you cannot do as it needs to be in keeping with the property of the character. That’s probably why it’s not as “homely” and practical as you’d expect 🤦🏻♀️
WOW. I love this. The entrance is spectacular.
When I first saw it I thought, oh it will be ok but not foe me BUT the more Summer and Matt showed it, with so much love, I started saying, I want it, I want it. It is very tasteful. Superb tour again guys
y'all are my favorite property vlogger now omg
Can’t wait to view Matt & summer’s house, I’ll bet it’s stunning 😂😂😂😂😂
Gregg Butler do they live together?
Hi guys, yes we do live together and have for the past 3 years. We spend most the year traveling around the world so live in different places at the moment. We’re living in Marbella for the next few months
Just the first thing you see when you walk in is amazing😍
This place has such a wow factor Izzy! Honestly it is even more breathtaking in real life - it is a must see! Lovely tour, and it looks like a gorgeous chapel conversion. Take care and stay safe.
Thanks Deborah. Hope you are keeping well. The developer has done such an amazing job utilizing this space and turned it into an incredible family home. Interesting 🤔 The first few seconds I thought why are they touring a restaurant. But I get tickled when Matt goes through the doorways because it always looks like he’s going to hit the top of his head😊 The One thing I did enjoy was the fact that each bedroom has its own private outdoor space. Thanks for the tour.
How tall is he
Thanks PJ! Hehe Matt is so tall he must get that problem quite a lot. This property is so fantastic for a family that doesn't want to be on top of each other all the time. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I absolutely loved this one.
The way they linked the old and new buildings with those quirky windows in the rooms was outstanding! and the barred lighting was stunning too. No cheap white sockets in this one either! and the communal areas where brilliant.
I would have a rising stair case in the high mezzanine area just too secure it, and use it as my siesta area. 😁
Not too sure about the 7+ million.
I love the chevron patterned floor and the unique chandelier.
Wow this place looks amazing 😍
I do like the four poster bed room.
The bathrooms are all really nice too.
This is cool property guys, looks awesome to shoot
I like how it still has features of the chapel!
The developer has done a fantastic job blending the old with the new and has created a great flow to the property. It is such a classic home and I will be super jealous of the person who ends up buying this. If you would like more information please contact me directly at georgina.woods@chestertons.com or speak to myself/my team on +44 (0)20 7288 0330 . This is a lot of money for a converted chapel. But it is London and it is a unique property. It does have that big loft feeling, not always very intimate. I have to say that the materials used in the interior have a very luxurious and sophisticated feel to it. Beautiful furniture. Gorgeous color scheme. The movie theatre is so inviting. The indoor pool and spa are a big waw. You asked what I would do with the upper level above the main living area ? I would keep it as it is. All by all this is a stunning property. Kudos to the interior designer.
I could live in a chapel but a smaller one. I do love the high ceilings and the lofty feel. Great video, once again.
Nice cafe, I’ll have a hot chocolate please!
So much to see and invited into great critique.
Nice. A couple moments a tiny bit like 'The Overlook Hotel in The Shining?!' but mostly just nice.
Been waiting for this tour since seeing the property on your tiktok!
We have had so many enquiries on this property since TikTok - It has been so popular and won't be around for long. This place is really incredible ❤️
Love this
All I can think about watching this is heating bills😅 Love your videos guys, keep doing the great work🙌
I saw this on the market and now i found this video omg
Thanks guys I really enjoy your videos I love the way you share the presenting and show some really great properties in so much detail, you say you’re not agents, but you’re brilliant at showing people around the houses!!. The spa and pool area were particularly amazing I thought… I didn’t notice if they had a downstairs toilet for guests?? - would people have to go into the bedrooms to use the bathroom?
I believe the wooden floor is called parquet (i’m not sure if I spelt that right but it’s pronounced ‘par-kay’) - I might be wrong as the blocks of wood look quite large, but having had a similar type of flooring installed recently I believe that’s the correct term for it. Also I noticed that there are couple of very famous brands - Meile and Villeroy and Boch.. i’m pretty sure they’re pronounced Meal-a (as in ‘a’ for apple rather than meal-ay) and I’m certain it’s pronounced Villeroy and ‘Bok’ as we have a family member who works for them.. sorry hope you don’t mind me mentioning it, it’s just that your reviews are so classy and that just stood out when I was watching 😯🤪🤩 But seriously thanks for the videos - can’t wait for the next review 👍😊
Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed the video ☺️
I would probably use the second bedroom with the private entrance as the master, but turn the bed around so there is more room around the bottom, I think the first bedroom is quite dark :/
Amazing
Its a lovely property, i would deffo live there, just need 7.5million now. The flow to the property is strange but i suppose converting a chapel into a house is no easy thing. I love the grand living space. Only thing is theres not really any private outdoor entertaining space for a nice bbq and gardening, that would be my main put off, The only decent outside space was in the second bedroom, but i cant imagine walking through someones bedroom while they were having a rest with my hotdogs and burgers X
What a place!
I like the cinema room
🤩 chapel of love
that open bottom floor gives me the shining vibes
does it come with everything inside?
0:26 VERY NICE
Entering the property it looks like a Gentleman’s club with the managers office above it, with the kitchen being the bar area. For 7.5 million, I would not expect to have a communal area and an extension.
Personally, this is beautiful
Love the high ceilings ... one small criticism is the bedrooms are a bit small for a big property. You should also mention if there is designated parking space(s) with the property + any communal charges etc. It's ideal for having some private events and for hosting overseas guests of business trips .. not so much for raising a family.
Its definitely going to have a service charge.
They probably made the bedrooms and bathrooms small to maximize the space in the main room.
In the downstairs bathroom what was the square that was on the marble?
Its so you can get to the pluming if theirs a leak!
Love and hate for me. It's impressive but something missing for me. It's not bad value considering homes in Hampstead go for £15-20m.
This property offers a once in a lifetime opportunity. It is so rare to find such an impressive property in Central London. I think with the right owners, they can turn this gorgeous property into a lovely home. If you would like more information please contact me directly at georgina.woods@chestertons.com or speak to myself/my team on +44 (0)20 7288 0330 . Kind regards, Georgina (Chestertons New Homes - Office Manager)
Can you do a house which is more affordable but with a ginormous garden
It quite nice, knowing it was a chapel though, would put me off. I find that a bit scary 👀 but someoneis getting a bargain imo❤️
Thanks for your comment! This property is an absolute steal for what it is! If you would like more information please contact me directly at georgina.woods@chestertons.com or speak to myself/my team on +44 (0)20 7288 0330 . Kind regards, Georgina (Chestertons New Homes - Office Manager)
What mics do you guys use?
Hey guys
Looks like I took out the pews from my church and decided to move in. Very nicely done, but doesn’t feel like a home. Sad to see brass/gold coming back. Spent 10 years getting rid of it in my home.
U.K. houses bedrooms are so underwhelming. All that space downstairs should have be used to create bigger bedrooms
Who wants massive bedrooms lol
You sleep and get changed in the bedroom, would rather have more living area
That main room would scary at night!!! Amazing space though (I also imagine it would be expensive to heat 😱)
The high ceiling and sheer size of the main room would probably make it difficult to heat and cool!
SMART HOMES PLEASE !!!! I can not believe the London is so BACK IN TIME !!!!!
First! Looks insane!
Not a lover of that tbh, but least Summer is worth watching :-) excellent channel, look forward to your uploads guys
The sheer amount of space there is in this property just to have so many different sitting areas but tiny and cramped bedrooms? Honestly I'd rather sleep in one of the chairs in the chapel area.
It’s the way that the chapels designed. The main area is always very large
Pancake Pancake I know, but it’s been converted and extended. Surely the main area could have been converted into rooms.
Noor Mohamed that is possible but it would be very hard to add in rooms in the main area. Either the rooms would be placed on the sides of the walls, narrowing the living space, or in the middle which would liok strange
Best place for party
I think i've found my dream home 😍
Matt, where did you get your T-shirt from mate. Please let us know. 🙏
P.s. I just love watching you two.
Zara in Marbella, glad you’re enjoying the videos 👍🏼
This house is not really a home, it's rather a rental property for affluent tourists or a place where a businessperson would wine and dine their clients
Looks like a cafe
Even if I had the money for it, I wouldn't have the number of friends to have round every day to fill all that space lol. Imagine being home alone in this giant building, it would be like being locked inside a museum overnight :P
Summer - "we're not supposed to say master bedroom anymore" Matt - proceeds to say "master bedroom" 5 times within the space of a minute. Lad.
What's wrong with the term "master bedroom"
Is the place where the pool and gym is private or a public space?
Only available to the residents of the estate
Hi! It is private for residents of the estate so no public will have access. If you would like more information please contact me directly at georgina.woods@chestertons.com or speak to myself/my team on +44 (0)20 7288 0330 . Kind regards, Georgina (Chestertons New Homes - Office Manager)
you can see it as a special penthouse, because of no individual garden, no parking area. Drawing, sitting, living, kitchen, dinning, study, gaming in one
Great place for entretaining. Not a family home but great for a couple who love entertaining. I would hold chamber music recitals in there with the musicians up in the mezzanine. Alas, it is not to happen. I do not have $11 million stuffed in my closet.....
Why are you supposed to say principal room? I thought she was doing a play on words like master bedroom the principal room because of former school
Master meaning Male dominance, not PC these days, principal gender neutral
agree with others the open plan living area is just too big to feel homely, feels more like a school dinning, gym or library space
I live in a bog standard 4 bed house and have an 86 inch screen in my living room🤣
Nice tour! But where would you watch TV??
The TV is on the mezzanine level.
I stand corrected, it's a picture on the wall not a tv.
Chunkymonkey7 yeh that’s what I noticed. Maybe people who can afford £7.5m home don’t watch TV or Netflix lol
47 Singh nooo it’s about where you tactically put it 😉
Its on lease guys not freehold
The open plan space is too large and open. It has no large entertainment unit/TV/bookshelves etc to kind of break up the area and this place would have benefited from some sort of creative partial separation of the dining and living areas. The space therefore just ended up looking like a big hotel lobby with little disconnected seating areas dotted around. Perhaps because of the grade ll listing they were very restricted in what they could do but the interior design of that living space did not help. I like this house in many ways and the fact that it is a house that benefits from a concierge service etc.
Could have put in a TV if its 84 inches. You’d never achieve the same picture quality with a projector.
Looks like a restaurant
The main room looks like a cruise ship, not right for living. Aside from that it is nice. Away from London you could get similar for 1/4 of the price, crazy.
The main room needs partitions, it’s far too open plan. Bedrooms too small
Can't feel like a home, more like a 5 star hotel.
I’d avoid anything listed. They are just such a hassle. The developer was definitely limited with what they could do with this.
Are Miele appliances worth the extra money? Someone told me they are the Rolle Royce of kitchen appliances....
47 Singh definitely but it depends on your needs and where you are based. Gaggenau is great if you are someone who really likes cooking or you have a private chef and you need precision where as Miele is geared towards the “mass market” and they have a high end range the quality is a lot more robust. Gaggenau is horrendously expensive to repair. Throw into that equation Subzero and Wolf and there is an Italian brand also with mentioning i need to find the name it has slipped my mind but I’ll do a video on them later in the year...
Emil GO gaggenau is not necessarily the rolls Royce it depends on your needs but there is Subzero and Wolf and a couple of other brands which are better.
So Anesu ohhh very informative and great knowledge! Following your advice I have just ordered Miele oven (with steam), microwave combo oven, and gas hob (clean steel range). I hope it is good haha 🙌
Emil GO performance wise Gaggenau is better than Miele and subzero and wolf is better than gaggenau
47 Singh 🙌🏾 happy cooking!
I’ve seen bigger master bedrooms in a council flat. What a joke.
It might just be me, but I'm always interested in where I'll park my Bentley and ferrari (assuming I win the lottery of course).
Emil GO I don’t think this is all together correct - underground garages not amazingly common but there...
Emil GO yes I know that is what I was referring to as well and you do get it but it’s not common.
So you think there was a parking spot somewhere for this property, or can you pay 7.5 Mill and have nowhere to park your car?
Roy yes I definitely think so.
Hey guys, there is secure underground parking for the property
Ah... Living room is too big ang bedrooms are too small. But overall its nice
It seems that everyone who rennovates old homes want the insides to be completely the opposite of the exterior. The "architects" LOVE copying the one room "open plan" that modern American houses have. UGH
Keep up the great work Matt & Summer!! By the way, are you two married?
Nothing homely about the lounge, dining area etc to me definitely a house, not a home. I wouldn’t live there...
Needs more walls
Its not selling. Was on for £7.9M. Now £6.75M.
i assume they do a lot of funerals in this place which kinda freaks me out huhu but the house is very nice
it was a school chapel
Praying place was, making love place then
