Don't forget your lockpick like I did! It makes opening the coffins easier. The excessive ground markers that were bothering me came from a plugin called Tile Packs which randomly enabled itself, so mystery solved.
A follow up to my comment that I just learned; If you have the plank sack unlocked, you can save inventory space and banking for planks by bringing it. They get automatically used from the sack when building the bridge.
Instead of ring of dueling and drakan's medallion for poison, you can do Prayer Book and Holy Symbol, the poison is 2 and the prayer book will cure poison for free, no prayer points used. Just gotta click your help orb and it does the poison cure.
