Awesome Video Still Don't Understand why Some People Use The Small Toter Cans Instead Of the Company's Green Bin

Some people find it easier to use the smaller containers. For example they don’t have to pay to use the small containers, the service is free for them. Second, some people don’t fill up a whole 60 or 90 gallon container every week and we don’t offer 30 gallon YW carts anymore. With Republic’s green bin it costs $3 every time the resident is billed (6 months out of the year) so overall that would be a flat cost of about $25 for the Rubbermaid can and $18 per year to rent one alone. It would be more cost efficient to buy one can for $25 or even get a used one than pay $18 every year for god knows how long they will have the bin.

1:10 my guys don't do that unfortunately either we have to call bulk or we have to put it in the green
I've seen some companies send an extra truck just for Christmas trees

We take it with the regular greens trucks. Despite more trips to the dump it is overall more efficient both money and customer wise. WM sends extra truck usually to collect trees. I think that’s a wrong move in my opinion but maybe it’s more effective for them. I find it really odd how some company’s/haulers instruct their drivers to not take the trees if not in a container. I would take it with my regular route because then residents don’t have to worry about waiting for an extra truck. 🤷‍♂️

@@ChulaVistaKid yeah all the companies should just instruct their drivers to take it with the greens on route
