Sam, please make video on Andrea Gail boat. 'The perfect storm', a movie starring Mark Wahlberg and George Clooney was made on it.
Yeah he really does
I grew up near Gloucester, MA. It’s a beautiful place. I spent a lot of time there when I was a kid. That whole area is nice including Rockport, and Manchester By The Sea. Yes I do remember the day of the perfect storm very well.
@@matthewkrankka7398 the 30th anniversary coming up right edited no wait its today when it formed
Speaking of 30th anniversaries time to honor one of the best frontmen in rock Freddie Mercury as he passed away almost 30 years ago
There was a documentary on TV which examined some of the odd things they observed after finding it. A hatch cover was to the side as if something had lifted it. There was some traces of mild scorching. A few of the alcohol barrels were loose, damaged and empty.
The show reasoned that several barrels loosened and the leaking alcohol had flamed. It would have been an unfamiliar and very dramatic event. Fire at Sea is one the most feared events. It was in fact a very brief and superficial fire. The crew was not aware of what happened or what to make of it and retired temporarily to the lifeboat. They probably intended to wait it out. A rope was out behind the ship. The end had no knot. The lifeboat likely was to be knotted to the end. It must have failed and the Mary Celeste sailed on away from the lifeboat which could not catch up as it slipped off the end of the rope.
The ship sailed on. The people perished from any number of causes
YES, that's basically (from all my research), what happened!! I also, viewed a couple of documentaries years ago, about the Mary Celeste!! This makes the most logical sense, of all 'parameters'🤔!!
With her sails partially set, the uncontrolled ship might have run over and sunk the lifeboat during the evacuation.
0:40 Fun fact: today is 12 years that "Never Gonna Give You Up" is on CZcams.
Damn!! Its been that long already?? Feels like yesterday when it went viral. Time flies lol!
That's what I wanted to say
I love seeing how confident you have gotten you are doing great!! Love the channel
I hope you do a video on the Essex next, Sam. Great job overall on the Mary Celeste.

Ghost Ships for October 🍁🎃 perfect
Sam, I love your videos. I introduced them to my father and he does too. Have you thought about doing the Sultana or the Eastland? I would love to see them.
The story of the SS Sultana in 1865 might peak your interest. Greatest maritime disaster in the US. I write about it in my book....would be an awesome video to produce to make people more aware of that tragedy.
I'm from Cape Breton. Great story. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for this content man, 🙏
Also very clear, great content.
Do the Flying dutchman!
I really love hearing about the real ghost ship. ( Mary Celeste)
I like the strange tales of ships that have been lost and found...and lost again
sam keep on making great vids
Fantastic Sam brilliant job😁👍🇬🇧
Woo hoo! Thanks Sam
Sam, I'd just like to say. . . your singing's beautiful.
Love you content Sam, thank you again!
I think the Mary Celeste must have been cursed. I would not want to be on it. I think the ship was abandoned. Thanks Sam.
Sam, huge fan of your work. As an Italian myself, Genoa is pronounced (Jeh-now-uh) 😅. My dear late grandmother was born and raised there and even sailed on the Andrea Doria's sister/replacement ship the SS Leonardo da Vinci! As always though, great work and looking forward to future videos!
Good video. Interesting subject.
Hey have you ever mentioned in a video that collapsible a lifeboat on the RMS Titanic had been found 4 weeks after the sinking the oceanic found 3 bodies in it 2 fireman and one 1st class passenger
Sam, think you definitely look much better in solid colors, over some of your more 50’s folksy plaid like shirts.
Hey Sam me and my kids love your videos I really liked it they gravitate to history as much as I do my two sons but they really want to see a video on the Eastland disaster Titanic of Chicago please do a video on that subject not for me but for my two sons thanks much love and my kids adore you
My kids say hello they're watching the entire titanic documentary you put up
You should do a video on The Lost Colony of Roanoke. That’s another mystery that’s never going to be solved.
Oof. Yeah, that’s a weird one for sure. The most likely answer to me is that they had to move on from Roanoke, hence the message left carved on a tree (was it a tree? am I remembering that bit right?) But then….what happened? Where did they go? Did they go willingly? Did they all end up in the same place? Must have been devastating for the guy to come back to what he assumed would be an established colony, only to find nobody anywhere and spend the rest of his life wondering where the heck his wife and kids were.
@@ElGibby Aliens 'abducted', them🤔, no wait, sorry, wrong showcase😏!
I love your videos.
Sam, great video, I've seen the Leonard Nimoy show he covered, this would really make a good movie. Thanks.
Hey! Historic travels, can you tell the history behind the titanic
Amazing tale of a ship whose crew vanished. Who knows what happened? Sorry i could not think of where they went. Yes they all got into that lifeboat. I am sorry for the wife and daughter too so many years ago!
Leonard Nimoy used to have a series on tv called "In Search Of...." pretty much the same thing was said on that show.
But I think there was skullduggery of some sort. It was 1872, piracy or shanghaiing ships at sea could still take place.
I'm hoping you have 100,000 subs by 2022. You deserve it. I have watched you grow since I subbed before 1000. Good job man
You should do a vid on the deepest shipwreck in existence😆😆😆😆😆😆
USS Johnston
I saw a youtube com watch link in the first video but there wasnt any more text
Ive heard of this
i heard that the ship was transporting a weird kind of alcohol and one of the barrels broke so the captain told the crew to get on the lifeboat and wait untill the ship vented, but the rope broke and they could never catch the ship back.
I saw a documentary about this ship, and that was one of the theories for the why this ship was abandoned.
Question: When a crew abandons a vessel, isn't someone supposed to take the log book with them?
You would think so, but it looks like they left in a hurry.
@@kevinmalone3210 They are also supposed to strike the sails and (in shallow water) lower the anchor to reduce the risk of getting run over by their own ship.
I love your channel
I don't believe in curses, but if a ship ever seemed to have a curse on it, this ship did.
I think you should put that Easter egg in more videos getting Rick rolled is such a meme
No
what
You should do a video of the uss cyclops and her sister ships that would be so cool thank you for another amazing video
Awesome. Thank you. I think the ship was cursed too. Maybe someday we will learn the answer someday. No I would not sail on this ship.
I know this is off topic but im really enjoying your discord server XD
I thought that one of the theories was something about the cargo leaking fumes or something and crew was tied behind the Ship in one of the lifeboats?
There was, but I didn’t have time to cover all theories.
If you could take a deep dive on the Franklin Expedition, and the fates of the HMS Erebus and Terror, that would be awesome.
love the video, perfect video for october halloween/aka spooky season
I know it's not an ocean faring vessel but you should do one on the Sultana!
It is a goob thing I never found it in pt 2
Keep up the great stuff!
The Mary Celeste's crew must have left the ship in a hurry
Can you do the story of the whillhelm Gustloff?
He did already
All she needed was a captain who’d love her.

I discovered a article about a abandoned lifeboat in one of most isolated island on earth Bouvet Island Bouvet Island is small remote island located in the south Atlantic Ocean is about 1,074 miles north of Antarctica 🇦🇶 and 1,565 miles southwest of South Africa 🇿🇦 this island it was annexed and Owen by the country of Norway 🇳🇴 in 1928 this island is one of the remote islands on the planet in 1964 an expedition was sent to the island to discover some climate changes on the island until a abandoned lifeboat was discovered in the lagoon just close to the shore When they first found that lifeboat there were no people in it no supplies in it and nobody knew of were did this lifeboat came from

AYYYYYYEEEEE
I had a question if titanic would have used it’s horn when it was at early stages of the sinking could have the Californian heard the titanic or could have the titanic lowered the anchors or would they be too short
Hi man! I was just wondering where you got that large model of the Titanic that you used in one of the videos a bit back. I thought it looked like the perfect Titanic model!
Hi Sam I know you done a video on the Olympic series but can you tell me where the Olympics wheelhouse wheel and telegraphs went after scrapping
Imagine getting a strike for singing that
I wouldn't want to sail on a cursed ship
What’s up skipper ?🛥 🚢 🛳
How about the S.S. Waratah and the S.S. Valencia.
Hello
Sam did you walk Rosie today
If I was alive back then, and a 'mariner', I wouldn't let a mishap (like what happened to the crew, aboard the Mary Celeste), sway my decision (since I'm not superstitious), on whether to sail on her. In fact, I would find it 'titillating', to do so (just because, of that incident, alone)!! Also, love the 'creepy', ghost ship image @16:50!
……Also Sam, a side note, and a superb, idea. Instead of always showing the 'Titanic', screen (in the background, of all you're ship docs.), maybe this should be 'pro-quo'! Have whatever ship, you're documenting, on the screen, instead (it would be more 'apropos')😁!!
I enjoyed this. Word of advice though, if I may: maybe when doing these multipart videos you should wear the same shirt. It kind of throws the continuity off when you edit them together.
But what you're saying: top notch. Love it
The different shirts permit viewers to readily identify the separate parts of a given story. I like it.
I think probably it had something to do with aliens
first? Maybe?
Oh yeah 200 Video's
well everyone you have been sam rolled
