  • Hey Everyone
In this short video I go over the after repair data on the 2010 s4 that had the bad pressure actuator.
If you are planning on tackling this job make sure to have a decent scan tool and some patience.
    I hope you enjoy.

    Hey JL,
Great video! I have a couple questions. I'm experiencing similar behaviour in my S4's sport diff. Live data shows temp sensors are working just fine however the pressure sensors both spike to 200PSI before dropping to 0. On top of all of that I'm also getting an electronic servo sounding noise from the sport diff (which makes me think its a bad solenoid/actuator).
Now my question is if I just need to replace the solenoid / actuator how difficult is that job and do I still require ODIS? Or can I replace those without having to recode my original pressure sensors? Thanks!

the pressure sensors still need to to be coded, but make sure to test the solenoids and pressure sensors. also audi has a rebuild kit available for these i just foudn that it was cheaper to buy a used unit with good parts.

      @@JLsAutoSolution thanks for the reply.
I had audi perform a a diagnostic but unfortunately unlike your scenario, my clutch solenoids appear to be working as you can hear the click for both clutch valves. The said the sensors were fine as well. They couldn't perform a pressure test since it would fail immediately. The next thing they wanted to do was pull out clutch 2 valve from the diff and inspect it.
I had them stop as they wanted a other 4hrs + fluids. I'm going to inspect the clutch valves myself next once I order proper ATF fluid.
They sure make diagnosing this sports diff a pain. I wish I didn't have to rely on the dealership for ODIS.
