But when KGF had released, the film had opened at 4 crores ans had a lifetime run of around 45 crore, a number that the successor crossed in just a day. Here, in this candid chat with Bollywood Bubble host Nayandeep Rakshit, Yash and his co-stat Srinidhi Shetty open up on the constant divide between North and South, changing perceptions and outlook and of course, why he doesn't take any of it too seriously. Yash said it correctly that audience knows everything but industry has to accept it.
I would like to give an example. I knew yash from 2015 when I watched his flim Googly. I liked his performance immediately and I remember I had his photo on my PC and cell phone wallpapers 😁 and other people used to ask me about him and I just started telling everything about him what I know the best at that time.then I gone through his other films with subtitles. So when kgf came out many people like me [from other states]were aware of yash.
So we PEOPLE accepted our diverse entertainment culture long ago but the bollywood industry waited for box office numbers.

I am okay to watch a movie in any language be it kannada , tamil or telugu just provide the subtitles and after 4-5 movies most of languages starts sound familiar. I watch ANIME in japanese with subtitles but there are many words that sound familiar to me everytime I watch anime.

Seems like Bollywood actors (some directors and other members of the industry) are salty that their movies face a stiff competition.
Before they used to get away with their modest/ mediocre films but now since people have access to other and better content (movies/series), they wont watch bs.
